The electrical outlet was not working for the stair contractor who was her building stairs. I needed the outlet fixed before the tenant moves in this week and called Capitol Electric. Neil answered my call right away and said he could probably fix the problem today. True to his word, he called a few hours later, was here a few minutes after than, and fixed the problem in a snap.... literally. He reset the electrical outlet (though it would not reset for the stair contractor). I didn't want to waste Neil's time spent driving here, so I showed him another outlet and he switched it out for a  basic GFCI. All of this took about fifteen minutes at most.  Neil is a down-to-earth guy who is easy to work with. Though I am not sure how he charges (my fault for not asking ahead of time), I plan to put his business card in a safe place and call him again the next time my home needs an electrician.

I was preparing to sell my rental and had been tagged for some electrical violations and problems. Mr. McIntire addressed them without a great deal of cost, handled the permits, worked with SMUD to disconnect and reconnect the power, found a solution to what could have been a huge problem in regards to the building's framing. Great work. Very reasonable and thorough.

I needed a plug installed in the service porch of my rental before a new tenant moved in. Mr McIntire arrived when promised and was done in an hour. The job cost less than he quoted me over the phone.

It only took a few moments because the fuse just needed to be flipped all the way over. I was impressed with the quick response and quick appointment time.

I was real happy with them. He did a fine job. I have an electrical plug by my burners by my stove that he was going to replace but he said it would take a GFI plug and he might break the tiles if he did it. I thought that was nice of him to say it rather than just get in there and break it. I asked him to look at my porch light. I purchased a motion light to go in there. He told me the current light that was in there was hooked in there illegally according to today's code. He actually got up there and tried to do it, he said he couldn't do it because it wasn't up to code. He was very open with me and didn't charge me and I really appreciated that. So many people wouldn't have just done it and charged you and then let you deal with it down the road. He seemed very above board, I felt confident he did a good job and he didn't try to take advantage of the situation. I'd be happy to have them do work again.

Mr. McIntire showed up when scheduled. He assessed the problems with the outside and inside lighting in the rental prior to a new tenant moving in. All issues were fixed by the next day. This company is fantastic and I rely upon it for all electrical needs of any kind, home or rental property.

Capitol Electric was prompt, efficient, reliable and cost effective. The original bid was $11,500 but with Capitol's help we spent much less. The work was done in the time frame allotted, all materials purchased were as desired and he saved us money! He was open and understanding when we changed our minds more than once and did not charge us a change fee.

Mr. McIntire returned my call within 3 hours of my message. He scheduled a visit later that day and arrived on time. He had told me on the phone what he suspected the problem was and said that if that was the case it would take about 3 hours to fix. He also said it would not cost me more than $400 for parts and labor. He was exactly right as to the problem and between taking the water heater control box apart, going to get the part and reinstalling he was here only 2 and a half hours. He stayed around for about 20 minutes extra, not charging me, to make sure the water heater was now working. The final cost was $325.00.

Mr. McIntire was prompt with his pricing, showed up on time, completed the work in the time estimated, was conscientious and careful. There were no plants damaged, no paint left in disrepair and no messes left behind. He went out of his way to find the most economical fixtures for the job.
