Brw concrete inc.

I wrote out a bid form and posted several copies on the garage next to the driveway to be poured with a description of work and and simple instructions to provide price, fill out company information, sign and put in envelope and leave in mail box at front door. I called 6 contractors off Angies list and gave them the location of the job explained the process and allowed 4 days for estimates. Of 6 contractors only 2 contractors completed the bid form. Two other contractors called with prices and questions which were fully explained on the bid form. 1 contractor called after with a price after bidding closed and 1 contractor I did not here from. Bret Wolfe completed the bid process correctly and was a pleasure to deal with and kept in touch in the days prior to the pour date due to changing weather with a conformation call the afternoon before. Bret and 2 of his guys arrived at 7:00 am, well prior to his scheduled arrival time at 7:30 am to be well prepared for the concrete arrival at 8:00 am. Bret and his men unloaded the concrete in a little over an hour by 9:15 am and had put the initial trowel finish and relief joints in by about 10:00 am.Due to the humidity and cool temperature the finish troweling and broom finish was completed about 1:30 pm, the guys finished and left. The workers were very polite and professional and were not upset or stressed  even when the neighbors cat walked across the wet concrete, they just retroweled and went back to work. The stripping of the forms, backfill and minor cleanup was my responsibility. The concrete has a medium broom finish an looks great !.

They showed up when they said they would, always kept me abreast of what was going on, were professional and efficient at what they did. Their estimate was lower than using the city's crew, and for a little extra $, I also got my driveway widened. In addition, they also fixed a portion of the sidewalk that was my neighbor's responsibility at no extra charge.
