BERCO REDWOOD INC

The entire process was horrible. There is no client service. We had to follow up every step of the way. Waited almost (3) three weeks for custom delivery. Three quarters of the wood required return. It delayed the entire project for two more weeks. The wood originally delivered was damaged, split or cut improperly. The store manager, Dave N. had to come out to the house personally twice. He even decided it would be a good idea to sand pieces by hand in our driveway to attempt to correct problems. Finally the day of installation, the custom wraps were cut improperly which caused an additional week and a half delay. Dave tried to help, but mostly made it our problem. In addition, he referred a contractor who grossly overcharged for the project. The owner/PM was on-site 2.5 hrs and at all other times there was only one person who could speak a word of English. The entire project from client services (or lack thereof), wood quality, price, promised delivery date, QA, absolutely everything should be rated an F. Caveat emptor - LET THE BUYER BEWARE.

The service was excellent. The product is superior.

The designer was very prompt and totally helped guide me through the process. This after several attempts to find independent contractors who all 'flaked' on me. The workers that built the deck were polite and worked solidly throughout the week to get the job done quickly. I have no complaints at all. The deck is perfect and everyone I worked with at Berco was extremely helpful.
