I have never used a pest exterminator. I relied on Angie's list for a recommendation and I was not disappointed. I contacted 2 services listed as "A" on Angie's list. I selected Awesome Pest Control. Two people arrived to do an estimate and instpection. They were reliable, very professional, and took time to carefully inspect all areas of the house that might have termite damage. They did not suggest extensive treatment, although they gave me all options. I appreciated their information and that they did not try to 'up-sell' me to more work than needed. They returned on time on the date set for the treatment and charged a bit less than the original estimate. I would use them again, if needed.
