Ace Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning

I had to get a lot of repairs done in the house. They informed me that it could not be kept to leak so I hired a handyman who opened up the wall on both the bathroom and the bedroom side. They found that the shower pipe was leaking and replaced it; the leaking stopped so I am very disappointed with them. I was not happy with them. I went back to my insurance company and showed them where they did the leak detection test. I informed them that I hired a handyman who found the problem as well.

I had a bad experience, (read below), but a manager followed up and inquired about the experience. I was then refunded about 1/2 of what I originally paid and sent two coupon/gift certificates for future service, which shows an effort to make things right. I admired the effort to set things right.

first of all, 2 plumbers showed up and said i had to pay them each for their services, even though only one plumber was doing the work. Second, they were very intimidating, telling me i needed to make my decision quick about the repair because they were charging me for every minute they were there. They said i should probably pay the 400 dollar flat service fee because if i paid for parts and labor there was no telling what else might go wrong (even though all i needed was a new PVC joint to replace the broken one, a 30 minute job max!)
in the end I said i would fix it myself, so they put in a copper stopper so i could use water in rest of the house until i could fix / replace pipe part.
for 30 minutes of work they charged me 250 dollars.

Due to a large tree in my front yard, this was a problem that went from clearing the line every year or so to replace it now. I called Ace and they came within the hour. After clearing the line, they sent their camera through and the problem had worsened considerably. Bret explained exactly what they would do and the timeline the work would take and the job went exactly as he said it would. He could not have been more helpful throughout the entire job. In addition to the line replacement, several years ago I had a clean out put in near the house. I didn't know about what was required or what would be best and the plumber put in a one way, which Ace repaced with a two way as part of the job. When the final inspection was complete, they refilled the holes and then (this is what makes them special) a placed the extra soil in a low area where I had a palm tree removed a few years ago. Job site clean up could not have been better and Bret could not have been more professional, helpful or just plain nice. I would highly recommend Ace for any plumbing problem!

Their service was okay and the work was fine.  The work was complicated and it was a huge task.  They charged me over $5,000 for their services. They also wanted another $3,000 to repair the driveway that they had to rip out.  I don’t know how the prices are elsewhere.

They were good and my experience with them went well. They were fast, arrived here quickly, and they were friendly.

It was the first hot weekend. Our AC unit was sitting silent as a rock, even though the furnace fan was going, it was 83 in the house and the thermostat was set at 78. 
I called Ace on the recommendation of a co-worker.  They came the same day, late afernoon so I didn't have to leave work too early. Mike was pleasant and professional.
He looked at the whole HVAC system.  Yeah, I know -- our HVAC is the developer's special in a tract house built in 1993.  It wasn't great to begin with and we have definitely gotten our money's worth.
I will be calling Ace for a bid on replacing the furnace and AC. I know it's time -- I just keep wondering how much longer the AC will last.

lInitially, when I set up the appointment, I asked for just an estimate. But when the plumber came, I explained the problems we were having (slow draining in a half bath), and he immediately started work on it.  He used shoe covers to avoid tracking dirt in the house.  He kept the area clean and free of debris that came back with the snake when he was working.  I didn't realize that I did not get an estimate up front until after he was well into his work.  By that time it was too late to back out.
I don't have that much experience with plumbers, so I did not think to ask that he run the snake several times to ensure that the drain was very clear.  I also didn't look closely at the caulking that was applied.  The next day I noticed that there were several spots around the toilet that were missing caulking. 
I thought the price was a little high, especially when there were spots missing caulking around the toilet after it was applied.  I would have felt much more satisfied if the drain had been more thoroughly cleared, and no missing caulking spots were found.

I'm doing this from memory, because it was about a year ago.  I was easily able ot make an appointment for the next day.  Plumber showed up on time, and promptly commenced work.  He was courteous, professional, and quick.   It took about 1/2 hour to complete the job and he had all the parts and tools he needed.  Kept the work area and my home clean, and did an excellent job of fixing for a reasonable price.

They were good. He was on time, prompt and thorough. Their price was within all the other price ranges that I've checked.

Ben arrived promptly and knew right away what the problem was.   It took Ben less than an hour to do everything he needed to do and he only charged me for the cost of the initial visit.  I have dogs who like to help everyone do their work.  Ben had no problem with the dogs and actually gave them a bit of attention, which made them happy.   I've been looking for a new plumber and will certainly call Ace again should I need one.

Excellent!  He was on time, very professional and gave me some good plumbing tips.

I have been very pleased with Ace's service.  They cleared a sewer pipe at one half the cost of a local highly advertised company which charged "by the job" and the pressured me into extra overpriced service.

They were here 10 minutes before their "window".  I expected days to pass between estimate, selecting a replacement, and installation.  The new toilet was in and functioning within half an hour of their first visit.  We were very pleased.

Leak fixed!

I have used Ace Plumbing for countless plumbing jobs over the years -- new pipes, drain repair, sewer ejector pump replacement, and other minor plumbing problems.  Ace and their team of professional plumbers have always been prompt, courteous and professional -- and they get the job done right the first time.  My latest experience with Ace was this month when I needed to have an insta-hot water kitchen appliance replaced.  The skilled technician/plumber was Tony Ferrante and he was terrific!  Tony quickly diagnosed the problem and ordered my new part immediately. He called several times to tell me the status of my parts order -- and then when it came in, called to schedule an installation date.  I loved the follow-up which is so rare with service companies.  Obviously, I will continue to do business with Ace whenever I have a plumbing problem.

The technician who came out kept making jokes about how the job would be easy and he would get to go home early.
We were having alot of water releasing from the high pressure valve, so he replaced it.  He said we would need to have the water heater replaced fairly soon as this was a sign of it wearing out.
We subsequently had another plumber come out who told us  all we needed was to have a
head pressure regulator installed, which took care of the problem.

Very good experience. Smelled gas in garage where hot water heater is located. They took the call immediately (no message machine) and got a plumber out within an hour. Lupe was very professional. He found the leak and repaired it in short order. Very fair price. Will definitely use them for future plumbing needs.

Ace was very responsive, did not appear the least fazed by our not having a clean out trap, and sent the plumber within the 2-hour window.  He was in and gone before the window even expired.  He was efficient, clean - VERY clean - and helpful.  We have another very minor problem that he pointed out BEFORE it gets serious.  He did what we needed, cleaned up, and left.  And he restored our entire system without making us feel like creeps for having an old house with creaky plumbing.  I was VERY happy with the work, with the quality of professionalism, and with the kind attitude of Julio, the plumber from Ace.

It went great from start to finish.  They replaced the P trap in record time and got the drains flowing super fast.  Although I don't put anything down my sinks on purpose (dental floss) and I always have a lint trap in the tub - there was still goodies that got through and created a nasty clog.  Will definitely not only call them again - but recommend to friends.  Thanks for the service - Angie's List

Responded that day, checked out problem, unseated a dime I couldnot even feel, tested unit and recommended keeping it and returning the replacement unit I had bought.  Done - money saved - 1 fewer disgarded but fixable pieces of equipment in the landfill!
