I hired A&P five years ago to replace the heating and air conditioning in my 82 year old home. For the first time in the twenty years that I've lived here I have been cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I have A&P follow up on seasonal service to keep it that way!

Technician was professional and courteous.  Replaced capacitor, and let us know that the previous capacitor was not very old (previous company replaced it 2 years ago and should have lasted much longer) and was a cheap foreign part.  He replaced with a more expensive American made part .

After they left, I realized the unit was still making the same noise on startup.  I also wondered why they charged me around $150 to install the small part (I can't remember the name - perhaps transducer?)  I went online and found the part available in multiple places.  The MOST I could spend online for the identical part was $11.  That's a lot of labor cost to install it.  I called to complain, and all they would do is take off $50 from the $850 bill.
I then decided I didn't want to continue to do business with them, so I asked for a refund of the service contract fee since I hadn't used it at all.  It took several weeks and many phone calls, plus an in-person visit to their office, to finally get that refunded.
Not recommended.

It was real good. They are a great company. Their prices were real reasonable. They did a good job. The guy that came out was real professional. They did what they said. They were real friendly. I didn't have any problems and everything has been fine since. I would definitely recommend them.

A&P sent out a HVAC technician who actually crawled in the attic space to determine the condition of the ducts.  Other companies sent out salesmen who told me what I needed without the visual attic inspection.  A&P's price was higher than those quoted by the other companies but included the replacement of the ductwork whereas the other bids did not----they would "repair as needed".  A&P seemed more interested in doing a quality job whereas the other companies seemed intent on selling me the cheapest unit possible.  A&P took two days to complete the job; the other companies stated that they could complete the job in one day.  I believe I received a quality job for the money paid.        

Everything went well. The technician came July 1st to disconnect and remove the AC unit. We went to work breaking up the old concrete and laying down a new sidewalk. On July 14, the tech came back to reconnect the AC unit and it has been working fine so far.
I had contacted 3 other companies. Their estimates were 1080, 700 and 300-375 (no pad included). I had called back the third one (cheapest), but they couldn't set an appointment for me because they had other clients who " might need their services." They wanted to leave it open and it didn't make sense to me. I called A&P and since their price was still lower than the other two, I went with A&P. 

They had an honest feel about them. I felt that the price was good. They were very professional.

Very happy with their work. On time, knowledgeable, with no problems whatsoever.

This company took weeks to accomplish the needed repair. The repairman who diagnosed the problem had to come out more than once, and it took weeks for them to order the right part. I called them several times to inquire about the part and got the impression that they had not jumped on the problem very quickly. They claimed that the reason for the delay was that the needed part had to be shipped in from some other part of the country. They stated that Lennox parts were not easy to obtain. I don't know what the real problem was, but I felt as if a more accurate initial diagnosis and a closer attention to ordering the right part promptly would have resulted in faster service. I would not again use their services.
