59 MINUTE SERVICE

This is a plumbing and electrical referral service though they do not advertise themselves as such - not even on the phone. They can be found in several cities from a basic Yahoo search on plumbers in various cities. A regular service fee of $75 to make a household visit was reduced for me to $49.95, which could be applied to the project's total cost. I told them I needed a new garbage disposal and they sent someone in about 50 minutes. Upon the plumber's arrival, I see that he is with a different company that was outsourced. He looked at my garbage disposal and stated the obvious - that I needed a new one - but that it would cost $1000 to replace it. I told him that I had received ballpark estimates of $375 for the same work, but could not get the person out until the nexxt day. His response was that I should take the other bid. The price was obviously outrageous, so while miffed I paid the $50 and sent him on his way. I felt duped for $50. I called back 59 Minute Service to express my displeasure and they conferenced the plumber on to the call. He started yelling that I did not pay him his $50 service fee!!!! He straight out lied! I responded that I was not lying and that I would post negative reviews on Angie's List. By the way, upon further research I found on the California State License Board wesite that their electrical contractor's license was revoked. Do not use these guys.
