Jaguar Heating and Air - Sacramento, California (Shysters) I wanted to bring up about this company: they are so shady for taking peoples money without following up the installation. They dont return phone calls from the sales person or co-owners. The will sell you something like a water heater and Jaguar does NOT have a plumbing license. They will take your money and run with it and your stick you with the problems. They will also make holes in your walls without the consent of the homeowner and NOT written on the contract. Beware with some of the sales person who pretend to be car salesman, cause that is what they are "car salesmen" They have sold a "water heater" to a clients and wanted it. They the customers ask for it, if Jaguar does install water heaters in which they pulled a "lie" up their sleeve and said "yes" that they can do it, but Jaguar knew that they didnt have a "plumbing license C-36 Classification" but sold it anyways, cause they were afraid that they would lose the sale for installing a water heater. Jaguar Heating went ahead installed a "water heater" and installed it on the property, but did an inspection for the HVAC and wrote change out 5-ton split unit (WATER HEATER NOT INCLUDED) so that they get the permit for the HVAC and hire somebody with a plumbing license to get the "water heater" permit for Jaguar to do their dirty work all because dishonesty and money and leave the client behind. This company will anything to keep their good reviews and "throw out" their bad reviews, so that they can get you to be suckered in doing business with them. Beware they have a way with words in selling you something that your not getting, especially coming from a sales person. Here is the problem with contractor they take short cuts on everything that they do, so that can shaft you and they are so called "shysters". This company has installed 2 water heaters without a plumbing license and continue to cut corners or continue to lie to customers just to take their money and leave them with the problem. When a water heater is installed without a plumbing license here are the consequence below to inspect: 1: Who is going to keep up the service call and repair for the next 10 years for the warranty 2: Who is going to do the repair service if it starts to leak water all over the garage in case there is water damage, plus the clean-up aferward. 3: The homeowner insurance "will not" cover repairs if the company installed it without a license (the homeowner insurance will send an "estimate adjuster" and will investigate to see if the company had a Plumbing License during the installation, "if not" they (the homeowner insurance) will cover the repairs 4. Plus, who is going to pull the "permit" if the company didnt have a Plumbing License, now the company will get a 3rd party who has a license will get the permit, but its NOT a good idea, because they dont want to get involved in touching somebody's else work and get their hands dirty as they say. For example, mechanic will NOT touch car if its still under warranty through the manufacture, cause it will VOID the warranty. 5: Most Real Estate and Buyer "will not" buy a home if the house doesnt have permits cause the buyers homeowners insurance will NOT cover it, cause the installation was done "without" license. They way they will if the seller scraps the installation and "redo" the installation and get someone with the Contractor License for the job Since I know this how the laws work, dont get stuck with some crappy sales person....."the old saying goes: "If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is" referring to? Is there any truth to this statement? Why might something sound too good to be true? “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is”, is meant to be a warning that reminds us not to be taken in by this kind of manipulation. Word to the wise and good advise: if your not sure about a Contractor License then do this to see if legit 1: Go to Contractor License Board and get or ask for their license so that you know if they have an active license and they are selling exactly that fits their license description 2: Make sure you to the BBB: Better Business Bureau cause they have reviews that are true legit, cause review can and cannot be taken off because the reviews will stick and BBB is owned by the State and Federal Regulations. 3: Dont read "yelp or google" cause they have friends and relatives and will creat 20 to 50 username account and they are not true only family review supported Does all makes sense....dont get shafted and or played Please watch this video on HVAC - NBC Today w/Jeff Rossen (This a critical video to watch) [*** Link removed ***] The owner new that he didnt have a Plumbing License, but installed it anyways all because he was thinking about the $$$ (money) and NOT the customers. He knew when he sold the water heater the 1st time and bit him in the a**...he did it again in Folsom to another resident. He didnt have Sale Resistance and sold it anyways, now the customer is screwed because nobody (company) will take care warranty or service call. They lie about these reviews they are friend and families reviews that created over 20 google accounts....if you want a real review then read BBB Better Business review cause they are regulated and cannot be deleted cause it is run by the government. Beware they dont have a plumbing licenses and will take your money and wont return phone call until you threaten them with a bad reviews or sue them, and then they will make a move...Yelp, google and their website are "cut and paste" only good reviews that phoney..anybody can do that. The old adage, 'If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is' isn't always correct. This owner is desperate for reviews just to keep his business...what a loser!! Including the Salesman Mark Araldi he nothing but a "snake" dont let him sell you nothing...lock the doors!!!! Most reputable companies are not looking for reviews all because their action speak louders than words..but Jaguar has NO action, just words and full of "hot air". Shouldnt that tell you something about them!! Its not rocket science. Read their BBB instead the owners yelp (not real, just plastic review) is full of hot air and never accurate. Dont let nice talk fool you and or fall in a trap. They will sell you something (take your money) and stab you in the back later (will ignore you never be heard from when you have a problem)

They were the most affordable option after looking at 6 companies to do a full system replacement but there were issues as soon work started. First, the equipment ordered didn't fit the attic so they had to order a different product delaying it a week. Was not until the third time inspecting or reviewing the space they mentioned that the duct system needed significant replacement or repairs. Then failed to seal a "SmartVent" that didn't take place leading it to fail on inspection, even though I requested it to be removed. Now 3 weeks after system replacement costing 5 figures I still do not have heat. Now on the fourth time workers are coming to do work when I was told it would be a 2 day max project. Would not recommend.

The technician Aldrin was very professional, he work a mask the entire time, and he diagnosed and took care of the problem. He replaced a broken capacitor, and also changed an air filter and washed the coils on the condenser unit. Happy with the service, he seemed honest and trustworthy. $260

Tony missed scheduled our appointment and did not notify us. we were told Tuesday from 8 AM to 10 AM but no one showed up. We call the office and she left the appointment for Friday. She didn't apologize or offer a same day appointment until after I posted a one star review for her mistake. After being offered a same day appointment, she begged us to take it down or else her boss is going to fire her. The technician Mark didn't come on our scheduled 12:30pm instead for there earlier so we had to rush over. Mark said "because of you guys she lost her job and she has 5 kids too" Red flag here already. The company is unprofessional enough to explain to the clients about their employee side of actions! Mark was nice at first. After he spent less then 30 minutes looking at our air conditioners he quoted us $145 per central AC unit for yearly membership including one free service call, parts extra. He spent only 7 minutes on the roof for unit trying to figure something out. We didn't even know what he did or performed a service till after. He said he changed the AC capacitor (without us agreeing by the way)but we had technical go up there and he changed the blower motor capacitor! He was nervous and shaking all this time. He was also impatient because his boss Mustafa gave him pressure to "make us happy" or he might get fired. How do we know this? We were there hearing their conversations and I saw their text to each other. It wasn't Marks fault 100% because he feared for his job. Tony was fired after my review, and she was used to set an example for other employees. Mark was upset already and all of this transpired to US the client. We didn't need to know about your companies employee information! Plus guilt tripping us is a poor work ethic. Mark yelled, yes YELLED at us my brother, my 6 month baby and I!! I asked him to not cut me off when I speak. He got upset couldn't hold his work or personal frustrations and let it out at us. He walked out the door yelling "I'm not dealing with this sh*t right now.. I have freezing old people to service! I'll call the boss for you!" "You don't sound appreciative for the $250 AC capacitor part!" It's $15 for that part and you literally pop it out and pop it in. Faking a need to service us to try to make us feel like we got our moneys worth doesn't work us. We didn't need it and we didn't consent it. Mustafa told his wife "Baby I'll deal with customer" in front of me. What terrible and rude word choice. Over the phone he's aggressive, impatient and arrogant. He tried to threaten to sue me. I called supervisor Melissa from yelp and read the content guidelines. I have experience from the legal perspective but clearly Mustafa hasn't done his research! A lawsuit requires to file the with the clerk. You pay a minimum of couple thousands of dollars! The company isn't even willing to give more then a 5% discount so they really expect that I believe they are going to sue me? Such a disappointment to their work ethics! Mustafa is the core issue of this company. He told us he doesn't care for his yelp reviews, that he valued our satisfaction. He refused service if we didn't change our review! He forced Tony to beg us to take it down and forced Mark! Then tried to force us to take it down! This is a disgusting way of doing business! We also have a recording of him threatening us as well. I'm not the first and definitely not the last to complain about his terrible work ethics! I wouldn't be surprised if he commented here about not having me in his "system" as he uses these techniques to trick Yelpers to think his business is legit. He only has 5 stars because every one star he finds a way to make it up pushing clients to provide a positive even though it want a good experience like ours! It dropped him to a 4.5 and he was pretty livid! Do not harass us for this review as we will update it accordingly. Update: As expected, Mustafas anger came through and he left a rude comment about telling me to get a job? I already am a mom of a baby, work for as an operational manager at a bank and I manage rentals! Hes the CEO of this company yet lacks major customer service's skills. I will be forwarding his comment to Yelp for harassment. My brother isn't happy about our treatment as well. This is terribly embarrassing.

Not only was Jaguar available on a weekend, they actually called to move our appointment from a 6-9pm block on Saturday the next day up to a 3-6 and then called again and were able to show up even earlier at around 2pm. The tech confirmed a diagnosis which turned out to be a simple part (capacitor) which he had on hand. Our system was back up and running within 15 minutes of his arrival. These guys just got a new long time customer based on this experience and the other reviews written and word of mouth we've heard about them.
Description of Work: Our AC condenser stopped running outside on a Friday night in the middle of yet another Sacramento heat wave.

We were pleased with the entire process. They gave us straight advice regarding the cost/benefit of replacing our old unit, their bid was very close to the other two we obtained, and their response time good. The staff were professional and careful not to disturb our work flow. The only problem, and it was minor, is that they showed up for the installation a bit early. The new unit works well and we've had no problems with it after a month or so of using it.
Description of Work: Replacement of a combined furnace and air conditioning unit on the top of my commercial building.
