The service was great, starting with the initial phone call and all the way through with technicians repairing the oven. The pricing for the visit and labor was reasonable. Unfortunately, the experience was spoiled by dishonest pricing of parts. I was charged $330 for 2 oven igniters (in addition to visit and labor charges). When I asked why they were so expensive, I was told that Viking parts have gone up in price since they were acquired (by Middleby Corp). Later I discovered that the igniters that were installed were not genuine Viking parts, but rather Supco replacement igniters easily available online for $15-20 a piece.

Diagnosis was incorrect, which resulted in wasted money and time for me due to buying and installing unneeded parts.

Value Appliance was excellent!! Immediate, full resolution of our problem the first time they came out. And their appointment setting and communication system is very thorough and convenient. The repair tech was very professional and capable.
We'd had another provider (A-1 Appliance) out to fix the problem. The tech said he'd get back to me with an estimate to fix it. Nearly three weeks later I had to call them just to be told it would cost $1,000 to replace the two burners/ignitors and that they would have to order the knob. I said forget the burners just order the knob. He claimed I would incur another service charge when he brought the knob out to "install" it. I told him I would just pick it up once it came in. Another three weeks go by so I call them back and they have no info on the status of the knob and said they would call back. That was last week - I haven't heard from them.
By comparison, I contacted Value Appliance on a Monday and within three days the tech came out, resolved the problem and promised to drop the knob off early next week once it arrives. That whole process will take only a week.
Another important note: I have since learned that Value Appliance is the only repair operation certified by Viking in the Sacramento area. A-1 and possibly others are misrepresenting their expertise. Make sure you call a certified, qualified repair company!!

They were terrific, as usual. We've used Value Appliance since 2005. We purchased all our major kitchen appliances from them during our remodel and have counted on them for service and repair ever since. They usually come out same or next day. Technicians are always professional, fun and very tidy. And when they fix something . . . it's fixed. I might be able to get repairs done cheaper if I shopped around but Value Appliance service and expertise has been worth every penny.
My dryer was under warranty with Sears but I had Value Appliance fix it. I truly hate the Sears Service Dept. Their service is consistently awful and I knew I'd have to wait at least ten days for a technician to come out, and probably another two weeks waiting for a part to arrive (this actually happened twice before). I can't be without my dryer that long so it was worth it to me to have Value Appliance fix it, which they did immediately.
I can't recommend this company highly enough!

Overall, it went well. He did a good job of looking at all the parts/pieces of a potential problem, solved it easily and quickly, then left.

The fridge is in a small alcove and not easily accessible. They had to remove both the freezer and main doors in order to get to the problem, which turned out to be a relay overload gone bad. They had a new one with them, so popped it in and put the fridge back to it's original position.
While they were here, I had them look at the fridge and dishwasher in our kitchen. Both had "travelled" over time and were no longer squarely aligned. They found that the dishwasher legs had been installed on wooden blocks, and one of them had worked it's way off of the block. It turned out the blocks were needed because the legs were too short to properly allow the unit to fit in it's place. They puy the dishwasher back on the blocks, then fastened the legs to the blocks with screws to avoid a the problem in the future. The fridge, too heavy for me to move, was put back into place.
Altogether, the work was complete by two very pleasant professionals in about an hour and a half. I considered it a bargain.

Value Appliance had fair prices. I really liked my stove and I really didn't want to replace the whole thing, because it's a nice double oven and one's a little bit smaller. He got the part and put it in, but there was a little bit of time involved though, from the time I called him in and he got it repaired. He got it repaired and it's been working fine ever since. He tells you straight up if you can actually go out and buy a new appliance for the same price you would spend if you repair it. He's kind of straight and lets you know it might not be the wisest thing to get it repaired. I like that he's straight up with you. He's good, fixes the problem and guarantees his work. I'm real pleased with him.

Enter Value Appliance. After speaking to Value's office personnel, Darrell the technician came right out to the house. He showed us what was wrong and repaired it. He taught us several pointers about the Sub Zero as well. The previous mis-diagnosis was that our freezer was leaking. Instead the problem was actually with a clogged drain tube at the back of the fridge.
We are extremely confident in Value Appliance and will send friends to them. Our experience with Value Appliance was excellent. Very professional service, fair price and quite pleasant to work with. Value Appliance phone: 916. 725.4914421 Riverside Ave. Ste. B, Roseville, CA 95678

This is the fourth tme I've used Value Appliance. They've repaired a Sub-Zero wine cabinet, refrigerator drawers, refrigerator and dryer. At each service call, Value Appliance repairmen have been couteous, prompt, highly professional and thorough. The office is located in Roseville, but they service most surrounding areas. I would not hesitate to recommend these talented repair guys to any one who ha an appliance problem.

The problem was fixed. We paid $ 85 (first visit for diagnostic) + $ 109 (second visit: replacement part + labor on site). Immediately after the visit of the technician, we became preoccupied that the problem had not been fixed, but running the different programs one time each seems to have solved the problem. We wish the technician had told us about it.

They were great to work with. They did the work in a timely manner and they were very informative. They explained everything they did in great detail. I would recommend them to others for the work that they did for me.
