Quality of service was great, price was very disappointing. It took two technicians about 45 min to complete the job, so Glass Guru is charging $200+/hour for technician labor. Absolutely ridiculous. (More below) It was easy to set up the appointment, they kept in close touch, good follow up, technicians who did the repair were efficient and professional. No issues there. Problems were with pricing and that process. I received the quote on site and was somewhat pressured to just accept it right then and there. Not knowing better I accepted and put down a $200 deposit on the $480 quote. Upon some research, I found that the parts for the job would generously cost $150 - likely much less. I called to follow up and the woman I spoke to admitted that the cost was high and I received a 15% discount on parts. Nice but only saved $30 (they would have received an F on price otherwise). So $150 in parts and $300 in labor. I will likely get a quote from them in the future but will definitely shop around more next time.

Great! The did a free estimate, recommended that we install a medium dog door by replacing the dual pane panel with one specially constructed for pet door installation. We paid a 50% deposit and within the specified time had our installation completed in less than an hour. The glass portion of the door is still dual pane and the pet door is double flapped and provides more than enough insulation as well as having a piece you can slide in to "close" the door. Both the cat and I are VERY satisfied.

The Glass Guru was selected because they offered to repair my existing window rather than replace it. My existing windows are older and no longer on the market so matching them would be difficult. Since the window sash was perfect then all that was needed was to replace the glass.
The appointments were handled easily. The estimator was helpful in suggesting appropriate repairs and even checking all the windows in the house for any other problem, all free of charge. They did not attempt to up-sell me to unnecessary additional repairs. The repairs were handle rapidly and on time after only a few days wait for parts to arrive.
Overall the entire transaction was professional, courteous and an enjoyable experience. I would use their services again if the need ever arose.
I don't know if the other Glass Guru offices in the area are the same but if they are then i can wholeheartedly recommend them.

They had the table top for 9 business days. I got a lot of excuses about why it was taking so long, I was so glad just to get it back I didn't notice until I got it home that they had only repaired 2 of the 3 scratches. I do not plan on taking it back for the other scratch, enough is enough.

No problems with installation. Promptness was the only concern. Changed time for estimate and as a little late for estmate and scheduled time of replacement. Called both times, but already late when they called.

There was a slight problem with the shower as they did not replace glass only frame. This caused problems with the installation but everything has now been corrected.

This has been a never ending nightmare. This job was to be completed by May 5, 2007 and is still ongoing. They have botched every aspect of the job. The cleaning solution that was supposed to remove the moisture and haze inside the window caused the paint on the grids to melt causing the problem to be worse than ever. The Glass Guru accepts no responsibility for this result and is requiring me to buy replacement glass to repair the windows. The sash balances they have been paid to install are not completed. I still can not open one window. Sloppy workmanship, arriving without the necessary parts and supplies to complete the job, wrong parts, damaged parts etc. No sense of customer service.

"OUR COMPANY WAS THE FIRST COMPANY IN THE US TO OFFER A MONEY-SAVING REPAIR PROCESS FOR FAILED DUAL PANE WINDOWS WITH MOISTURE BETWEEN THE PANES. ALTHOUGH WE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO BRING WINDOWS BACK TO THEIR ORIGINAL CLARITY WHEN WE TREAT THEM, THERE IS ALWAYS A CHANCE OF MINOR IMPERFECTIONS AND WE NEVER QUOTE WINDOWS AS BEING 100% RESTORABLE FOR THIS REASON. WE HAVE A ROCK SOLID WARRANTY THAT GUARANTEES A FULL CREDIT TOWARDS REPLACEMENT GLASS IF WE DON'T MEET OUR QUOTE. IN THIS CASE, AFTER CLEANING A WINDOW THAT HAD LONG BEEN FAILED, WE GOT IT BACK TO ABOUT 90% CLARITY. THE NEW OWNER OF THE HOME WAS NOT SATISFIED AND WE RETREATED THE WINDOW ON ANOTHER TRIP TO DO OUR BEST TO CLEAN IT OUT. SHE WAS STILL NOT HAPPY SO WE TRIED AGAIN ON ANOTHER VISIT. THIS TIME THE PAINT CRACKED BECAUSE IT WAS TREATED SO MANY TIMES. WE OFFERED THE CREDIT THAT OUR WARRANTY COVERS AND THE CUSTOMER DID NOT WANT THE NEW GLASS. OUR REPAIR IS NOT PERFECT AND THIS CUSTOMER EXPECTED PERFECTION. OUR INSTALLER DID FORGET HER SASH BALANCES ON ONE VISIT DO TO A RARE MISCOMMUNICATION WITH OUR OFFICE AS HE WAS TAKING HIS SUPPLIES OUT FOR THE DAY OF WORK. THEY WERE INSTALLED SHORTLY THEREAFTER. WE PRIDE OURSELVES ON PROVIDING MONEY-SAVING SERVICES AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IN 4 YEARS HAD NEVER HAD AS MANY ISSUES AS WE DID WITH THIS CUSTOMER WHO IS NOT EVEN THE ONE WHO PAID US FOR OUR SERVICES (IT WAS THE PREVIOUS OWNER). BASED IN ROSEVILLE, WE MADE THE TRIP BACK UP TO AUBURN ON SEVERAL NON-PAID TRIPS TO TRY TO SATISFY THIS HOMEOWNER. IT'S TOO BAD SOME PEOPLE DON'T RECOGNIZE WHEN A SERVICE COMPANY IS GOING OUT OF ITS WAY TO MAKE A SITUATION RIGHT."
