Sunrise Energy Solutions installed solar panels on my roof in Granite Bay. The crew was very efficient, professional and I'm happy with the results. We felt like we got the best price and best installation in town! They also manage my heating and air system. They're easy to schedule with, punctual , clean and do a super job keeping my HVAC working optimally. I also needed some electrical work done in my house. I had other electricians try to figure out my light switch problem but none of them were able to. I called Sunrise Energy Solutions and they sent me their top electrician who easily solved the problem. I will happily continue to use this awesome company.

They were great. On time. Worked hard. Worked with me to accomondate how I wanted it installed. The owner, Holli is extremely professional and they have the best customer service. I have used them before in my old house where they installed solor for our pool. We will always use this company.

About 10 years Granite Bay Energy installed solar panels on my flat roof in Carmichael to heat my swimming pool. It was only a few months ago that we discovered an installation flaw that compromised the effectiveness of the system. THE FLAW WAS NOT DUE TO CARELESS WORKMANSHIP OR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF SOLAR SYSTEMS. Granite Bay did an excellent job of installing the panels at the time: it was simply a matter of the industry at the time not being very sophisticated about materials or installation techniques.
So, 10 years after the solar panels were installed, I contacted Granite Bay Energy's owner, Holli Tamas and told her of the problem. Holli did something which no other contractor has ever done for me. She did something that no contractor does for anyone. She agreed to fix the problem.......10 years after installation and at least 8 years past the warranty expiration. Good to her word, she had her capable crew come out to the house on at least 4 separate occasions and do the required fix which involved putting in a part which wasn't even on the market ten years ago. Needless to say, my solar system works perfectly now.
Bottom line is this. Granite Bay Energy's customer service is beyond all expectations. They're superior people because in this business, trust is everything. There was no reason at all for Holli to do what she did for us other than she practices the oft-spoken (but not executed) catch phrase that the customer is always right. Another swimming pool consultant who firts diagnosed the problem said Granite Bay wouldn't fix the problem in a million years. They were hopelessly wrong because they didn't know Holli Tamas. I'd look forward to having Granite Bay Energy do other solar-related work for me in the future.

We are very happy with GBE and our solar panels..
I dont write reviews lightly, so if im writing a review it means it went really well or really bad :) We moved into a new, larger home in 2012 and were shocked to see the $600-$800 electric bill each month. In 2013 we looked across many providers. There were a lot of people pushing the "Lease" option where you pay monthly, but the costs don’t add up...you don’t get nearly the benefit if you just purchase. We evaluated most of the providers in the area, and chose Granite Bay Energy. I didnt even know about GBE until uur neighbors had recommended them (they had GBE installed the prior year). We liked the product they were offering, the individual micro inverters, the online monitoring software, and their general attitude / presence when they visited us.
I don’t think I could have had a better price-for-performance benefit. When I received my July bill it was only $5 vs. $700 last year! And the GBE staff were great, very informative, and did high quality work on a root that is very difficuly to work with.
One thing that is really great was how the micro inverters allow you to watch patterns of when individual panels get sun or shade... and you have confidence in how each panel is operating... without this you are just assuming everything is working well. We ended up trimming a branch off of one tree when we noticed the panels near it were not getting sun for a good part of the day. I would recommend that the GB sales people show off this software more, we didn’t really see it in action until after the purchase... and its awesome.
The Bad: The only bad thing I can say is that GB needs to have more communication/coordination about what time people will arrive and leave. It seemed random when people would leave early one day, work late the next, and not even be there for the next. It was all completed on-time... but still I would like to feel like I know when people will be working and when they will not.
Also... i think they need more advertising... I would never have found them if it was not for my neighbor
