Last week was really bad. For example, bathroom sinks/counters not even wiped down, major streaks on shower glass, and more. Now. A week later, my wife just discovered that the put the one-time disposable toilet wand cleaner pads, still wet, back in the plastic bag with the new ones, ruining all the new ones! What are they thinking! Very frustrating that you can never get the same people twice. Workers seem very unmotivated.

I have used Sunny Maids for numerous years.  I have had more than 4 women out to my house.  After using one women for a couple of years I no longer felt I needed the service because I had time to do it myself.  But occasionally I have called them for an appt when I don't have the time.   I have been very disappointed in the quality of workers I have had sent so I am looking for another service as m occasionally extra help.

Their price is excellent and it's fairly easy to get help fairly quickly.  But the quality is probably what you pay for... not that good.

How did it go overall?  Awful!!!  This review is being written five months after the event because the service we received still sits badly with us.  We've decided it's important to alert other folks so they might protect themselves from an equally bad experience.

Since we had not yet moved to the area, we asked a representative to open our newly-purchased home for the cleaners.  Sunny Maids sent a non-English-speaking husband and wife team who were accompanied by their daughter as a translator.  The wife was visibly physically disabled (limited mobility of her arms due to a birth defect) so our representative assumed the daughter would pitch in to clean those areas mother could not.   Near the end of their cleaning time, our representative returned to find the wife having difficulties cleaning water spots off the glass shower enclosure and the husband cleaning the self-cleaning ovens with a chemical oven-cleaning product.  They wrapped up and left. 

When we arrived on move-in day two days later we found thick grease spots on the granite countertop next to the stovetop, accumulated food crumbs on the cutting board and in the kitchen drawers, thick sticky oil inside the kitchen wall cupboards, baseboard moldings were not touched, interior windows and mirrors not clean, ceiling lights filled with bugs, and spiders and cobwebs hanging from the ceilings.

Upon complaining to the manager at Sunny Maids, she contacted the cleaning couple who, she assured us, had never had a complaint lodged against them before.  The couple told her they didn't have enough time to clean and had been told they could only stay four hours (two people for four hours equals the 8-hr. quote).  They certainly were NOT told that by us or our representative as our goal was to move into a clean house.  When the manager offered to send the same couple back to finish the job there was no question that we did NOT want them back in our home.   (Once burned, twice shy.)  Nancy explained that Sunny Maids hires contract workers; therefore, the contractor performing the initial work is the same one Sunny Maids sends back if there are problems.  The final resolution was to accept a refund equivalent to 1-1/2 hrs. time for a total of $27.50.  That means we ultimately paid $140.50 and still had the privilege of cleaning our home ourselves before we could unpack.

As a result, our move-in was greatly compromised by the exceptionally inferior services of this company.  Clearly Sunny Maids is culpable for not vetting their contractors adequately and for sending workers ill-suited to the task.  Our recommendation to anyone considering using Sunny Maids Referral Service is to plan to be on site when the services are being performed.  Otherwise, CAVEAT EMPTOR -- Let the buyer beware!

I like them very much; they are a nice company to work with. A young woman and her husband come. They are in and out in an hour and a half. They are very willing workers. They will do anything I ask them to do. They are very wonderful people.

The reliability factor has been poor. I have only had the same housecleaner two or three times in a row. Some are better than others. The company sends replacements when the scheduled cleaner is a ''no show'' but I found this to be unacceptable and have not liked the continual stream of strangers coming into my home. Also, having to orient each of them has been inconvenient.

We needed a general housecleaning. If they did as good job, I would have hired them to come more often. This was not the case. They did an awful job. No one called to check on the work which is poor customer service. I was very disappointed as I had to reclean most areas.

THEY ALWAYS DO A GREAT JOB. THE WOMEN THAT COME ARE ALWAYS REAL NICE AND CONSIDERATE OF MY BELONGINGS. THEY ALWAYS MAKE MY HOUSE LOOK REALLY CLEAN. THEY CHARGE A FAIR PRICE.
