They had took a fuse out previously and thought it was there fault.

We moved from Phoenix, AZ to our home now in Rocklin, CA just over a year ago. With the move came the accompanying concerns about finding new service providers for home, auto, and health. Thanks to Angie's List, our cars have found the help they'll need from now on, and the service is really close to home.
I was experiencing some kind of electrical problem. After the car warmed up to operating temperature the cruise control and air conditioning would quit working. It also was hard to start.
I was able to get the car in for service the day after my initial call. The guys at the front desk are very personable and easy to talk to listening to my, what turned out to be, long-winded story. I was able to pick up the car the same afternoon.

I found them on Angie's List. When I first went there my car was dead so I had to have it towed. They looked at it the next day and told me a long list of what was wrong. I figured it would be expensive but when I left it was not as expensive as I thought; it was only about $100 for nine things they changed and fixed. Including the labor it only cost about $120. My car came back and ran fine. They were very nice and explained everything to my boyfriend. We figured out what we needed to do and they were very helpful. They did not treat me rude.

My 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee needed routine service with oil change, etc., but also just in general seemed to be running poorly. I decided to try Scottys Automotive in Roseville and was very pleased from the first contact. I was able to make an appointment promptly. When I arrived for my apptmt, I found their shop and office to be very clean and tidy and they were ready for me. Tony asked lots of questions about my vehicle, said they would change the oil and check it out. He called a short time later suggesting the spark plugs be changed (I don't think they had ever been changed). I'm sure he could have made several other suggestions as well in order to increase the bill, but I appreciate and respect that he did not. The work was completed promptly and I picked up my Jeep that afternoon. I will definitely take my vehicle back to them for future service.

We've had bad experiences with auto repair shops.... fixing things that didn't need to be, breaking things as they repaired and not admitting their error, etc. Hubby is an engineer, but NOT a mechanical one :) so we must rely on the honesty of auto repair shops. We FOUND it with Scotty's!!! They did only what was necessary, helped us make good decisions knowing our cars were older, and always had choices for us. We took the 1st car (transmission issue) as kind of a 'test', and we were so pleased, we took the other car (air conditioning). I liked that they have a mission statement, which might sound hokey to some, but as a business manager, I know it helps every employee keep focused on what matters most... and it gives employees a place to point to when they see co-workers not doing what they should. Our extimates on BOTH cars were lower than quoted, because labor did not take as long as they thought.... and they did not CHARGE us when it was faster!! Many places would have just charged us because it was covered in the quote.
We will be back!!

They are excellent. Their prices are very fair. They are very personable and professional. They notify us of anything that they find. They are thorough and will let us know if things are coming up that they’ve discovered. It helps us to plan ahead for work. They take that extra step and treat us like family.

We took a car to them for inspection before purchase and they found oil leaks and saved us from purchasing that car. Scottie is just a gem! He's very bright and on top of things. He's a fast-thinker and is super to work with. He even took me back into the garage to show me what was going on with the car. He's very up-front and professional. He's also very detailed in his documentation of inspection.
