Service people were very attentive and personable. They completed the work on time with no surprises. The oil and lube went as expected.
The repair for the piece shifting inside the door when turning only stayed in place for about a week. After that time, the piece started shifting again. I don't know why and need to take it back for service :(
They also heard me complaining about the Bluetooth connecting slowly with my radio, and on their own ran a diagnostic and checked for firmware updates. Was not part of my request, so that was helpful.

This service experience was excellent, except for price. Service advisor Mack Nidros demonstrated professional diagnostic skills. The diagnosis was confirmed by the techs, and the replacement regulator was installed on time. The techs also performed a comprehensive vehicle inspection, giving the car a clear bill of health.
Repair costs for German-engineered cars seem to always run high, so I was not surprised that a window regulator costs nearly $500. In this car, the regulator is a too-frequent problem. It led VW to issue a service bulletin, extending the warranty by a full year. Unfortunately for me, my 2007 EOS was a year beyond the extended warranty when the regulator failed. Nevertheless, Mack contacted the factory rep to request an exception. While the exception was not granted, I appreciate the effort.
I also took advantage of the dealership's shuttle service, which was very efficient. And the coffee in the waiting area was good, too.
Mack Nidros was also generous with advice on ongoing care of my EOS, much appreciated. Good job, guys. I'll be back for the next service.
