Ralph Swope Construction INC

The GC we had on site was a horrible communicator about plans-especially on text and email, unprofessional in handling subcontractors & voicing frustrations. He also lacked necessary detail (decisions on finishes, estimates, etc). When we communicated w Ralph Swope directly the correspondence fit a similar mold. They use a lot of generalizations and neglect to acknowledge customers questions or try to come to a reasonable solution. While the work they performed was solid it was left unfinished. After the headache of having to do so much managing on our own, we would not refer them to friends or use them again.

Ralph came highly recommended to me by someone I trust. His employee was the one that did all the work for the person that referred me to his company. The scheduling took awhile as they were very busy on a project in Tahoe but we made it work and Ralph showed up on time.

After getting several bids for the same project, I immediately noticed that Ralph was the most thorough with everything he wanted to look at, measure, and ask me about our project, which I appreciated. He took about 30-45 minutes doing everything and talking with me about the things we wanted done. I provided him with some plans I had drafted and he left telling me he would get back to me in about 10 days.
That was the last I heard from him. The sad part about this is I liked him the best and he already had a leg up since he was referred to us by someone we are very close to. If his bid was the same cost or maybe even a bit more, we WOULD have chosen his company.
I have seen his employees work in person and it is AMAZING so this review is strictly based on the fact that I never got the bid I was looking for not received any sort of follow up from him. I have since tried to reach out to him and have still received no response. Unfortunate.

He is a great contractor. I spent $12,000 on that work. He is honest, fair and does things right the first time. He even fixed the window that was put in 5 years ago by another contractor. I felt like I was getting what I paid for.

Very attentive and meticulous. We could not have been happier with the experience. He came highly recommended from our architect and we now know why!
