Initially everything went great. The installer did an excellent job, and the product has made our deck much more useable year-round. The problem was with after after-the-sale service. When he installed it, the installer, who I believe is one of the owners, encouraged me to let him know if I needed anything further in the future. We discussed the pros and cons of having him add caulking where the sheet material meets the siding. I decided I didn't need that, and he said he would be happy to come back and do it for $40.00, as it would be less than an hour's work. A few months later, however, I had my gutters replaced, which necessitated unscrewing the material from the edge closest to the house. Screwing it back in place was not the gutter company's responsibility. So, I called Patio Bra and talked to the original salesperson/installer. He said he would talk with the other principal of the company, and get back to me. He never called back. So, a couple of weeks later I called again. I explained what I needed, and clarified that I expected to pay for their time. The person who answered the phone said she would have someone call me back. No one ever did call back. I felt that the 30-foot edge of the sheeting needed to be screwed back in place before the wind and weather caused it to tear and deteriorate. I hesitated to do it myself, being 70 years old, but eventually got my ladder out, climbed up on top of the deck cover's wood trellis-work strips, and replaced the missing 50 screws and washers in about 40 minutes. It is frustrating that they talked about how helpful they would be, and then wouldn't return my calls when I wanted them to come back when they were in the area to re-fasten down the edge of the material.
Description of Work: Installed a rubberized, UV-protected sheet material on top of the trellis work over my deck. The material keeps the sun off part of my southwest-facing deck to keep it cooler in the summer and to keep the rain off in the winter. This product is a great idea.
