Description of Work: Tuned up my chiming mantel clock. Took apart and cleaned internal workings, replaced some parts. Clock would not wind hour or chime pegs, only the minute. Works beautifully now, although I have not tested the chiming function.

 + -1 moreThe service was excellent. Mike was very careful with the clock and respectful in my home. He also balanced the clock perfectly which I believe had never been done in the 11 years I have owned the clock. I would definitely recommend Mike. He is also very friendly.
Description of Work: My grandfather clock had just come out of storage due to a relocation. The clock needed to be oiled and checked over and adjusted before start up in my new home.

Description of Work: I too needed to get my wall clock a tune up. I checked the reviews and saw a lot of "A's" and one lonely "F" but I thought the "F" reviewer might be a little impatient. I called and also got the message that the mail box was indeed full. That was more than a month ago. Since I wasn't in a great hurry anyway, It didn't bother me a great deal and again tried to call today. SAME RESULT.....voicemail was full... I sometimes wonder how people with that "couldn't care-less attitude" can stay in business, if in fact he still is in business. Maybe the positive reviews were his friends - all against Angie's rules of conduct. Thanks to Angie's reviews section, I avoided dealing with an amateur and the bonus for me is that I renewed my Angie's subscription for an additional three years.

 + -1 moreWas very happy with work and outcome. I attempted to contact Mike in the last month and so far have not been able to reach him via his cell phone. Starting to wonder if he still does this kind of work. A loss to all of us if he no longer is in business.
Description of Work: Repaired a french wall clock built in the mid-1800's. Hard to find craftsman who know these clocks yet are actually able to repair them.

After reading his reviews on Angie's List and considering the price I had him do the repair. He did an excellent job and we are satisfied with the operation of the clock. He seems to be extremely knowledgeable about clocks and explained details of my clock that were helpful. He works out of his house which helps keep his prices low. We have a six month warranty on the work which I appreciate. I would recommend this company to others.
Description of Work: I had Mike repair an old wall clock that has been out of use for many years. Now it work like new. We are happy.

 + -1 moreA grandfather clock is kind of a high-maintenance item! Mike explained thoroughly and carefully what was involved with the cleaning and callibrating. The whole process took about three weeks -- longer than he expected because he ran into some problems with it. He was on time for both appointments -- picking it up and re-installing it.
Description of Work: A family heirloom grandfather clock had been dismantled for a move. Mike took the inner workings to his shop, took it all apart for cleaning (it had probably not been cleaned in 35+ years), made sure it was running and keeping time, and re-installed it.
