I contracted with Jeff, the owner of the company, to perform landscaping services at my home. Things went poorly from the start. He had contracted with me to provide many 4 feet high shrubs and when he found that they were too expensive for him he put 3 foot shrubs in instead. I did not get a refund. The laborers who showed up to lay the paving stones had not done this work before and were not supervised since Jeff was away 90% of the time. In fact, he had to come and redo most of the paving stones on the porch after I complained. The job dragged on weeks longer than promised. Although I paid promptly as the job progressed, he did not live up to his side of the contract. His laborers cut stone on the side of my house and the spray of the cutter embedded stone dust in the newly painted wall. I had just painted the house about a month previously. They did not clean up and I had to withhold final payment until they came and clean up. It was a huge mess.

I had an appointment with Jeff to initiate a landscape design process. He did not show. I called him an hour after our scheduled appointment and he said he had forgotten our appointment and would come by in 30 minutes. After taking some measurements of my backyard, he said he would give me a bid. I never heard from him after that. Seems like a nice guy, but may have problems with follow-through?
