FORE SEASONS LANDSCAPE

Our neighbors complained that their workers gossiped a lot.  I wouldn’t recommend them as our yard is still boggy and a lot of our grass is dead.  I was really disappointed, when they had our last payment, they were gone.  They were supposed to come back for a 90 day follow up of the sprinkler system and all that, but when we called they never came, we left messages, sent emails and still no response.  I will never hire them, again.  I would rate them a D overall as the raised beds were really nice.  They were $10000 more than everyone else.  They upsold themselves so well and that seemed really great.  They get the job done on time and every review that we saw of them was good.  They have got on GIY and every review we have seen; how great they were.  Almost 30% of the grass is dead in the backyard and didn’t even grow.  We even tried putting down new grass, but everything is so swampy.  Infact, whenever we re-graded it was swampy and was worse than before.  There is hue in our backyard and I don’t think they even did that right.  It looked really great at first and after 2 weeks we had a lot of problems.  Professionalism was fine when they were here, but when they left it was all gone.

I would give them high marks. They weren?t the cheapest company for landscaping, but we absolutely got more for the money that we paid them. We have also recommended them to our friends. They have been very responsive. They completed the work in May or June, but they come right out if we ever have to plant anything and also take care of it. They also give us good tips on how to take care of our plants. They still treat us really well even though they got the money and are an outstanding company. They have come out a couple of times since they completed the work to take care of our plants which they weren?t able to make it.

Casey was the most responsive and accurate of the 3 landscapers we received bids from. We did provide well-defined plans, which helped a lot in eliminating any misunderstandings of what was desired. We also provided a detail change sheet listing clarifications to details on the plans. Casey and Ben showed up on time the first day to demolish the existing front lawn. They were very careful of shrubbery we wanted to keep. They were very thoughtful about the impact on us of their activities. At the end of each day, they cleared the site and provided easy access to the front door. We only had to go in the back two days while the concrete was curing. Andy did an excellent job on the concrete. Before beginning a new phase of the project, we would talk through the plans and the change sheet so they knew exactly what to do. They had great suggestions that we worked into the design. We used email to document all change requests. Casey responded quickly, and he provided a copy of the email to his crew so they knew what we had agreed upon. Casey contacted me promptly if there was going to be a delay. There were very few delays, and the project went very smoothly. The final cost exceeded the estimate, but it was due to our change requests. The cost of the requests were agreed upon before they were made. We are very pleased with the end result and getting there was a lot of fun. Great guys and good work, it doesn't get any better than that!

They were able to start 1 week earlier than originally scheduled (yeah!), offered great alternatives when the planned design didn't seem to translate well to reality (designer was different company). Work site was always cleaned up before they left, they protected the house when they were laying down the concrete base for the flagstone, and they all were very nice and professional in all our interaction. Even when I experienced small issues, I could count on Casey or his team to respond in a timely fashion to resolve. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.
