Making a last minute appointment, I brought my dog in for ear problems and was met by both Dr. Ric and his assistant Elizabeth. You are going to love this doctor and his team! Down to earth, extremely professional and very nice. The assistants there are all on their game as well. I have had animals in my family for over 15 years (in Europe as well as the US) and this is the first time I have found a Doctor and team for my pets that was not condescending or too busy to care. I love the fact that instead of a cold stainless steel examination table Dr. Ric uses a nice soft pad on the floor where my dog was more comfortable and where he could relax while the exam was taking place. After the initial exam, Dr Ric and I both sat on the floor and discussed the options. Totally laid back and absolutely made myself and my dog comfortable. EVERY Vet should make the comfort of the animal the priority as does Sierra Oasis Animal Care. Great experience! The final price came as a surprise as well. Very reasonable. If I could give a grade higher than an A rating I would. Very impressed!

Dr. Rich removed the staples from the original surgery that were pulling apart and oozing. I was told from AVAER that nothing could be done about that and that the skin was dead and would eventually fall off. The original staples did not appear to be done by a trained veternarian especially if you were to compare it to the phenominal work done by Dr. Rich who completely redid the surgery.....and for a fraction of the cost. The gaps were closed and the skin stitched with perfection. I am eternally thankful for the quality of work done not only in this case but with his overall care for both of my animals.

Dr Rich Meisels DVM was very caring and professional and down to earth, so I took my other two dogs in for comprehensive exams and I'm happy to say that under his care, I have seen great improvement in my special needs dog.
