I'd like to add another 5-star rating for Air Doctor and a special thanks to Bryan and Casey, who did a great job cleaning my dryer vent and air ducts. Air Doctor was highly recommended by a local appliance company, and I was certainly not disappointed in the quality of their service. They were prompt, knowledgeable, and highly professional and respectful of my house and belongings when manueuvering their equipment. They were also extremely patient in explaining the process and making recommendations for future cleanings based on the amount of dust and debris they extracted. In addition, they pointed out large gaps between the flooring and air ducts that not only compromised the efficiency of my heating system but finally explained how large insects were entering my home! After explaining how to fix this issue myself, I opted to have them perform the work so it could be done professionally. Although it cost me some additional dollars, it was definitely a bonus. I highly recommend Air Doctor and appreciate that it is a woman-owned, small local company. Laurel and her staff were a pleasure to work with, and I will definitely follow through on their recommendations.

Took about an hour and half. Seemed expensive even with $50 discount.

These folks are professional, friendly and do a complete job. Our home had been lived in for many years by not only humans, but BIG, hairy dogs, so we needed to get rid of the animal hair that contributed to an unpleasant odor that persisted even after painting and re-carpeting. The young men who performed the service took their time to do a complete job, they didn't rush or cut corners. We were amazed by the quantity of and quot;debrisand quot; they extracted. Our home smells fresh and clean now!

I live in a three story single family victorian, so my options for duct cleaning are limited. Another highly rated vendor recommended airdoctor as they have a portable machine that goes into your house (most just use a truck so you're limited by the length of the hose). Since we were too far from the curb for most companies to clean, air doctor was our default.
The two gentlemen were on time, very nice and personable, and did a great job. They pointed out a potential problem in my dryer vent that might make it difficult for them to do it, but they further investigated both ends of the duct to realize where the problem was (improper hosing on the house) and figured out a work around.
The price was more then most companies but i couldn't use most companies so not much to complain about there. I'm glad I had the work done, these guys were great and i would recommend them to anyone with the same distance-to-the-curb issue i had.

The technician crawled in my attic crawl space and checked the duct system. He told me my ducts and registers were old and all of them needed replacing. I was taken aback and didn't say much, he then scheduled the return visit to do the actual duct cleaning. After the return visit for the cleaning I asked about replacing all the ducts. He and his partner again agreed the ducts needed replacing. I even tentatively scheduled an appointment for that. Then I did some research and learned ducts do not need replacing unless they are obviously rusted from water exposure or somehow obviously damaged. I have been in my attic crawl space several times. My ducts are not damaged, not exposed to moisture, they are in perfectly good shape!!!!! It is even questionable if air ducts ever need cleaning!!! I am convinced they were trying to Rip me off, selling me a new duct system I did not need.

"WE AT AIR DOCTOR ARE SORRY TO HEAR THAT THE MEMBER WAS UNHAPPY WITH THE SERVICES WE PERFORMED AT HER PROPERTY. WE WERE ORIGINALLY CONTACTED BY THE MEMBER FOR AN ESTIMATE ON AIR DUCT REPLACEMENT ON THE ADVICE OF HER REGULAR SERVICE TECHNICIAN AFTER NOTICING GAPS AND BREAKS IN HER DUCT WORK. AFTER HEARING THE SITUATION I SUGGESTED WE START WITH AN AIR DUCT INSPECTION SO THE CONDITION COULD BE DETERMINED AND AN APPROPRIATE COURSE OF ACTION COULD BE TAKEN. THE INSPECTION REVEALED DUCT WORK THAT WAS 50 YEARS OLD WITH SEVERAL DUCTS DISCONNECTED, SAGGING AND IN NEED OF REPAIR. SHE WAS EFFECTIVELY HEATING THE CRAWL SPACE OF HER HOME, NOT THE INTERIOR. THE TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR AND ADVISED HER THAT REPAIR WAS A TEMPORARY SOLUTION AND EVENTUALLY SHE WOULD NEED TO LOOK AT REPLACEMENT. AN AIR DUCT CLEANING WAS ALSO RECOMMENDED AS THERE WAS DIRT/DEBRIS FROM THE CRAWL SPACE IN THE DUCT WORK WHICH IN TURN, GETS INTO THE FURNACE AND BREAKS DOWN MECHANICAL COMPONENTS PREMATURELY. THE MEMBER DECIDED ON REPAIR AND THE TECHNICIANS PERFORMED THE REPAIRS AND AIR DUCT CLEANING AS AGREED UPON. THE REPAIRS COST A FRACTION OF WHAT REPLACEMENT WOULD HAVE COST AND WITH HER DUCT WORK INTACT SHE WILL SEE SAVINGS ON HER ENERGY BILL. WE FEEL SHE WAS GIVEN EXCELLENT SERVICE AND VALUE FOR HER MONEY SPENT. PG&E’S WEBSITE IS A GREAT SOURCE FOR CONSUMERS TO REVIEW GUIDELINES ON WHEN TO REPAIR OR REPLACE AIR DUCTS & FURNACES.
