The fence boards are crooked, some don’t reach the ground so animals can get under (animals already digging). Muddy feet all over deck and patio. Bucket full of trash and some blowing around. Scraps of wood all over yard. Any and every plant, vine or flower nearby trampled or branches broken off. Electrical conduit also trampled. So disappointing. I would not hire them again.

They did an excellent job. They were reasonably priced. I had quotes that ranged anywhere from the $1,500 to $5,000. They were the cheapest and they did a very good job. Then they came back because my daughter wanted a gate put on. They came back and for another couple of hundred bucks they put a gate on there. I would recommend them. Out of the ones we called they were the cheapest, there was a wait to get to them, but they were worth the wait. My daughter was in the house and she hasn’t complained. They showed a Chihuahua and it turned out they built the fence where it wasn’t down low enough, the Chihuahua could get under it. They came back and fixed it for her. They were very good. They came back within a few days to put the gate up, maybe a week. They were relatively good. I think they were professional.I dealt with them on the phone most, my daughter dealt with them in person. Other than the fact that they needed to come back and fix it for her Chihuahua, and they needed to add a gate. That was stuff that was unforeseen, so they came back and fixed them.

They did a good job. The only thing is they left some clumps of cement around the yard, but that's okay. I'm giving them a B for over all just because of the cement. They had to have a good price. I think I have used them before too. I have been in my house for 43 years, but I think I used them before. I wasn't here when they came, I was working. They've been around a long time.

They were suppose to come Christmas Eve and they ended up coming back the first of the year in January. They replaced it but they put it were it wasn't before. They relocated my gate. They put a new gate in at a new price, where the old gate was. They had to come back because something was wrong.

The estimator and crew were professional and on time. It took a while to schedule but once done there were no changes. High quality, sound and sturdy fencing and gates.

I called at least 7 fence companies, and Creative Fence & Wall was 1 of only 2 companies that answered my call or called me back. 1 other company quoted the job at a higher price. When I called Creative Fence & Wall, I was able to speak with a live person, and she was able to schedule someone to come out and quote the job the same day. They mailed me the estimate, and less than a week after I had signed the estimate, they had workers on-site doing the job. They did a great job replacing the iron fence post, welding new hinges, and welding in a new lock. The new hinges and lock are better quality than the originals, and our gate now swings freely and locks securely. The fence/gate looks like nothing ever happened, and they made sure that the new pieces were painted black to match the existing fencing. They cleaned up well after the project. It went so well, I have hired them again to weld in the same lock on the other gate, to replace the poorly functioning lock on the other gate.

Initial visit and estimate was scheduled same day I called. However Chuck did mention the actual construction would be scheduled 4-5 weeks out. Crew of 3 arrived on scheduled day and job was completed in one full day. Design and construction of the fence is outstanding using treated toe boards and overlapping panels, it's a very handsome fence. Lattice and gate details are very pleasing. I'm very happy to have found Creative fencing and can highly recommend them.

This was the second time we had used Creative Fencing because we were very pleased with the other work they had done about a year ago.  They did a great job this time, too.
The crew was very polite and responsive, and I have a lot of respect for and confidence in the foreman.  I had some questions about the leveling of the fence in a few places at the bottom -- the entire backyard has a slope to some degree -- because we wanted it to be as level as possible.  I was teleworking, so the foreman got me to show me what it would look like before they finalized it and showed me where the line was and where the kickboard would be placed relative to the slope.  In one area, he measured and showed me the options between different degrees of slope for the fence, and the amount of open space that would be below the kickboard if it was leveled.  He was right every time about the best way to do it, but I really appreciated that he wanted to discuss it with me and make sure it was what I wanted.
The fence looks great and they worked very efficiently in removing the old fence and putting up the very nice new fence.  Their attention to detail made it a professional job that was well worth it.  For each and every vertical post, the worker used a level to ensure that it was straight before nailing it in place.
I think the only part that might be slightly frustrating to others is scheduling.  Fortunately, business is much better for construction folks than it used to be, so it took about 6 weeks from estimate to construction.  The estimate was scheduled very quickly -- quicker than i could actually be available!  The owner told me it was going to take 4-6 weeks before they would be able to complete the job after receiving the contract, but it took a few weeks before it was even scheduled after I returned the contract.  The fact that it was a relatively small, 1-day job probably made this more difficult for them to schedule.

Job completed in two days.  First day was demo, removal, and post hole digging and some intial install.  Second day completed the installation.  Installation also included retaining wall through front gate and out to edge of driveway.  Crew foreman polite and porfessional. Chuck on site initally and visited once each day.  No messes, clean, quiet, quick.  Retaining wall looks nice.  Crew forman adressed concerns over possible sprinkler irrigation damage behind retaining wall by digging out behind wall to evaluate.  Chuck stated that he would provide any sprinkler repair even though he was not obligated to by contract.  My neighbor recommended that the cement around the posts be formed in a cone to allow water to run away from the posts.  I mentioned this to Chuck who said that it did not really matter but that he would instruct his crew to do this anyway, which they did.  As with all contractors, interaction and oversight is required.  However for this contractor and crew, mnimal oversight.  Very professional.  Interaction polite and professional.  I asked for a change in design for a sloping wal that tapered at the outside of the driveway.  The foreman accomodated me even after they had installed a straight non-tapered wall section.  They even left additional wood from the job for projects.  Not too much wood, not too litttle.  We had to empty the garden shed, but his crew moved it away from the retaining wall even though it was our responsibliity to clear the obstacle per contract.  Chuck accomodated our needs.  My wife gave the entire crew small gift present bags on the second day of work as they worked so hard.  They had custom made cookies from our small town bakery in Benicia.  Crew takes lunch not too long but not too short.
We had to move our cars so they could get into the gate to stage their equipment.  Crew left tools on site after hours so we secured the gate.  They removed one gate section and installed new hinges and new gate section.  Excellent job re-mounting gate and with fencepost through gate.   Steel fence posts installed as a stop-gap for leaning rotting posts.  Chuck advised that this was a better long term solution.  He did not recommend replacing entire fenceline and after examining fence stated that it was in fairly good shape.
Crew foreman is very good.  I think I got their "A" team for the job.  Which is my good fortune.   It has been 3 months now and the retaining wall is looking very good and doing is job.   We are very pleased with the Creative Fencing Team.

It  looks beautiful, he came when he said he would.  He even said to call him in a few months because they might "settle" and he would adjust them for free.
We did play a little "phone tag" when I was first trying to get a hold of him  Me leaving messages for him, he leaving messages for me.  But once we set a date and met a my house everything was done like clock. work.

Do's:  Do not use this company.Don'ts:  Don't use this company!!
Just months after the installation there were problems and now, a year later I have a piece-mealed-not-repaired, not what I signed up for  $5800 fence that is in not much better shape than the 60 year old fence I replaced!!  The new posts are already cracking, the panels shrunk, (clearly this was NOT aged wood!!) and the gap under the fence continued to increase over the months leading to dog in the yard in back of me continually poking his head under my fence which incites my dogs and there is a continual problem there.
It's been one year of ongoing phone calls (takes at least 4 calls to get a response - IF I get a response!)  - no response to the last series of calls) and patch work repairs ( I wish I could post pictures!!) and the last 'repair' - boards nailed under the base of the fence, that do not even extend to the end of a panel!   There's a gap between the repair board and the end of the panel not to talk about the end of the back of the fence!   Talk about piece-meal!!! I'm disgusted and out almost $6000.00!

When I purchased my house two years ago, it was clear that the long fence lining one side of the backyard needed replacement. Other things were more pressing, however, so it took until this July for the fence to become a priority. I spoke with my neighbors, who agreed replacement was needed, and we each got quotes -- mine came from Creative Fence and Wall. When I called for a quote, my call was answered quickly and an appointment was set up for the next day. Chuck, the owner, came personally to measure the fence, show me the possibilities and write up a quote. He was prompt, professional and clearly knew his stuff. When I spoke with my neighbors, their quote matched Chuck's. They strongly wanted to go with the company they'd spoken to, so to keep the peace, I agreed. Six months later, with no work having been done ("we'll get to you!" the contractor kept promising) my neighbors gave up and asked us to arrange for someone to replace the fence. I called Creative Fence again, assuming they'd work up another quote. Instead, I was delighted to learn the old quote was still good, and that they could be on site Monday of the next week to start work. Chuck was terrific about staying in touch while the neighbors approved the contract, and on Monday morning the crew arrived right on time. The Creative Fence team was polite, professional, friendly and focused on ensuring customer satisfaction. They regularly checked me with to make sure I approved of what had been done, and offered some excellent options and suggestions along the way. It took 1.5 days for the work to be completed. On day 1 they showed my neighbor the plan for the new fence and got her approval, removed the old fence, dug out its foundation and even cut back some small trees that were in the way. They ran a string line to show us where the fence would go and its height, and worked with me to deal with some lawn sprinklers that would be impacted by the new fence. Then they set to work and before the day was through the full run of fence was up, though all the detail work had not been finished. They made sure, however, that the fence was secure enough that both my neighbor and I could let our dogs into the yard that night. The next morning the fence was quickly finished, and it's absolutely beautiful. In addition, they were kind enough to fix a broken gate for me, and to do another small repair job. Both my neighbor and I were extremely pleased. Chuck handled getting the 50% payment from my neighbor, and was sure to check in with me about my satisfaction prior to payment. This was my first time getting a fence repaired or replaced, and I feel truly lucky to have called Creative Fence. I am sure I will call Chuck whenever I need work done, and recommend him without hesitation.

The estimating process went well and i was happy with the price and professionalism of the estimator. I feel that they could do a better job of communicating around scheduling. For some reason we got our wires crossed on the install date we had agreed upon and they had to come another day which was frustrating to me. On install day they came on time and were efficient, had good communication and knew what they were doing. They did a great job of cleaning up when they left and working with me during the install about small decisions.

The estimator came did the estimate and let himself out. He was super duper efficient. A day or two later, I received the estimate by email. No fuss, no pressure, no sales! Great! We had another estimate done but Creative Fence came out cheaper and had better reviews online. I had some questions regarding the estimate which they promptly answered and when I told them about our move in date and how we needed the fence done for safety reasons they were able to accomodate a faster installation date. The installers came on time, and were curteous, knew what they were doing. When the installer realized that our grounds were unlevel and a straightline 5 foot fence height would not look appealing, he consulted me about it and showed how it would have originally looked, and his suggestion would look with a stringline. His suggestion cost me $0 but looked fantastic! He also made many great suggestions for what we could do about some gaps and added a couple extra kickboards on parts where the ground was too low so our kids would be safe. Rodriguez and two others did our job and they were phenomenal. My husband was very very happy with the results.

The estimator was prompt and returned a second time to answer some other questions I had about the project. I was able to schedule the job within a reasonable period of time and the office communicated with me several times before the job actually began. The foreman on the job was very considerate of my feelings regarding my plants and attempted to keep the bushes and flowers intact throughout the process. The only problem with the job was that some of the workers didn't feel the same as he did - however no great damage was done. The job was complete in two days. Clean-up was done appropriately.

Creative Fencing did good work and were prompt. The material was very good and so was their workmanship. I also felt that their pricing was fair. This fence should last twenty years.
