I really like ROCKLIN GLASS & MIRROR. Owned and operated by a husband and wife team, I found them exceptionally nice and very receptive!
Expect no coupons, deals or senior discounts. The price is the price.
When I inquired about a warranty on the new glass being installed, the owner told me there was one but not to call him as he'd be dead in 5 years! He was just kidding but I like that no-nonsense yet silly with personality approach. Rocklin Glass is a neighborhood business and not a big-box corporation.
The work quality was excellent. A bit high on pricing when compared to a new window with frame but I still am glad I did it.
Rocklin Glass & Mirror is old-fashioned business. Cash or check. It gets installed whenever it gets installed.
Husband LEE and wife MONICA are great to work with! A great choice...

I brought a second job to them and my paper diagrams of my furniture and they said they would call me and give me a quote. They never called and i called them back and they said they would get back to me, but never phoned. I will never use them again.

I called Rocklin Glass on 3/27/13 for an estimate. I spoke with Lee. He was very nice and told me how the estimating worked. I provide approximate measurements and then they can give an approximate cost. If I want to schedule, then they send someone out for the exact measurements so they can order the glass. He also told me that the screen door would have to be brought in to their facility for re-screening. I called him back within 5 minutes with the measurements and he provided a quote. I told him that I wasn't too thrilled with removing the screen and taking it in. He said that he could send out a technician that same day right after lunch for the exact measurements, pick up the screen and then bring it back out when the job was scheduled. The tech did come out (albeit it was closer to 2:45pm so not quite right after lunch). The tech, David, was nice and professional. He quickly measured the window and removed the rear screen door. He also noticed that the screen door was a bit tight and didn't slide easily. He said they could justand quot;shaveand quot; it down a bit and make it fit better.
The next day I recieved a call from Monica who took my payment information to place the order. Within a couple of days she called again to schedule the job since the glass was in. I asked if they could come first thing in the morning so I could still get to work on the early side. She said that wasn't a problem and would send a crew of two so the job would go faster.
I was scheduled for 4/9/2013 at 8:30am. Unfortunately, they did not show up on time. I called at 9:45am and left a message asking what had happened. In the next fifteen minutes or so, I received a call from the tech, David, that they were on their way.
Lee and David were the crew that showed up. While David worked on the window, Lee put the screen door back on.
One thing that had been missed and not realized early on was that the plastic moldings that go around the outdside of the window would crack upon removal and need replacing. Lee said they did not have any white ones in stock so they'd order them and just come out in the next couple of weeks and install them.
Upon arriving home on 4/25/2013, I noticed that the moldings had been replaced and the window look back to normal.
I would use Rocklin Glass again if I ever need glass/window work again.

They do have some great glass. They are a family owned business. If you've purchased from them before you joined Angie's List they won't give you a discount.

Went to their shop, set up the appointment to measure for three windows. They took the screens that needed repair with them at that time. When two of the double panes came in, they installed then and reinstalled the screens. In the meantime, I had found a fourth window with a hole in it which they measured. The delayed window and the additional order came in at the same time and they installed both. All appointments were kept on time.
What most impressed me is that each of the installers measured the windows seperately and then compared notes. Thorough.

They did a good job in the end, but originally put the wrong kind of screen in the frame, which meant a second trip to their store for me to pick up the screen. As they are 20 minutes away, this was very inconvenient. Their turnaround time, however, was very quick and they had the correct screen ready the next day.

I USED THIS COMPANY BECAUSE IT IS NEAR OUR HOME. I LIKE THAT THEY HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR MANY YEARS. I THINK THAT THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR WORKMANSHIP. I FEEL THAT THE PRICE WAS AVERAGE.
