"Thank you very much for your kind review. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We also appreciate your continued business."
"This is a response to my current and future customers, not to the reviewer above. This guy has been a thorn in our side for 3 years. This reviewer did not find our business through Angie's List 3 years ago. It is disturbing to us that a review site would allow an individual to leave a review that has completely false information. As you can see, it is not consistent with the work we do. Rivard's Earthworks is NOT in litigation with the above reviewer. Anyone knows that if you are involved in litigation you do not discuss it on an open review site. The above reviewer was an owner/builder, NOT a novice/new individual to road construction. He was very familiar with permits and county requirements. Rivard's Earthworks was retained by the above reviewer to clear the land to access the property. Once the land clearing was complete the above reviewer asked Rivard's Earthworks to generate and stock pile material over a future permitted road. The road looked so good, the above reviewer tried to pass it as a permitted road with the County of El Dorado. A permitted road requires proper compaction, so a Geo Technical Service was retained for compaction and Rivard's Earthworks continued the work, brought the road to compaction and received the necessary stamps from the County. This was done in August 2014 to September 2014. That brings us to another false statement from the above reviewer. The above reviewer states that the work was completed in December 2016. It was NOT! Also, the above reviewer sold the property in October 2015 for $285,000.00. So. how is it possible the work was completed in December 2016. It wasn't! Their is no cost stated, because the reviewer NEVER paid for the services rendered, which amounted to $64,000.00. In November 2014 the above reviewer decided Rivard's Earthworks should pay him $65,000.00. Why would we pay when we completed the service and was NEVER compensated for that service? When we refused to acknowledge the above reviewers demand letter for $65,000.00, he decided to pursue a mandatory arbitration case against Rivard's Earthworks with the Contractors State License Board. In September 2015 the CSLB arbitrator awarded Rivard's Earthworks the maximum allowed amount of $12,500.00 from the above reviewer. He NEVER paid! Then, he filed a small claims suit in El Dorado County which was throw out by the judge, because an arbitration award is a legal, binding decision. The above reviewer didn't like that, so he has made it a mission to try to destroy my reputation. It is unfortunate that people like the above reviewer are so dishonest and crooked. To All the Contractors Out There - STAY AWAY from the above reviewer. He is a professional scammer! Rivard's Earthworks does excellent work, is honest and fair with all of its customers."
"Thank you for your wonderful review and your business. We appreciate it!"

"[Member Name Removed], thank you for the wonderful review. You two are incredible and we really appreciate your kind words and business."
"Mr. [Member Name Removed], After meeting with you and walking your job, we talked about the different types of pools and manufacturers that would allow below grade installations. Although you had plans for a specific pool design, you were going to further research other pool manufactures for quality and financial purposes. I was waiting to hear back from you regarding that research and feedback from your electrician on ditch placement to provide an accurate estimate. During this period of time, I unfortunately misplaced your contact information and as time went by assumed you had changed your mind or moved on. The estimating process is time consuming and requires accurate information from start to finish. To estimate and/or start a job without all specifications often leads to cost over runs and unhappy customers. I would have appreciated a phone call or an email, instead of an F review with an inaccurate claim. I apologize for any miscommunication and hope your project went well. Regards, Mark Rivard Rivard'[Member Name Removed] Earthworks, Inc"
