He made $30 and we lost out. He did not inform us of a charge for coming out to see problem. I’ve had appliance repair guys come out and if we used them then the fee was taken from total but this guy would not even accept his own coupon!!!

Felt totally taken to the cleaners by upselling and high pressure tactics. Everything works fine, we just paid twice as much as we should have for what we needed and paid for a bunch of stuff we didn't. Avoid these used car salesmen unless you are desperate. And if you are desperate be prepared to pay the price for it! And to top it off after completely fleecing us they tried to charge an additional $60 to haul away the old opener. A great lesson in why you should plan ahead and do your research on a company before a problem becomes urgent.

When my spring suddenly snapped and my door wouldn't open I called the company and they were onsite within an hour. Tim explained what was wrong with the door, showed me the parts that were deficient and made recommendations around replacement parts. He showed me how to make one fix by myself that would save some money as well.
The door is 14 years old so it's surprising most of the parts have lasted this long, but with the parts he installed they are warrantied for life now. I'm very pleased with everything about this experience (be prepared for the shock around the price of springs though. On that note, I had one of those neighborhood mailings coupons for $85 off but he rounded it up to $100 discount)....Couldn't me more pleased and would definitely recommend this company...

Although my experience started out well enough with the sales representative, Tim, and I also was fine with the installer, Ray, the rest of my experience with this company has been horrible. I have already had to call them twice due to problems with the door. The first time I called the sales representative Tim directly to let him know I had a problem with the door. By the following week I hadn't heard back from anyone so called him again. He explained that he had been out sick but had passed along my message and would follow-up. In the interim I had called the main office number and briefly spoke with the man who answered who was immediately rude and rather unfriendly. However, I did within a day or two after my second call to Tim receive a call from the original installer, Ray, who scheduled to come out to check the door AND did find something wrong which he corrected. A few weeks ago, I again started to hear some atypical noises the garage door was making upon opening and decided to call the main office number. The man who answered (same one from before) outdid his rudeness this time. His manner was gruff and condescending. He then looked up info on the prior service call and said all it said was that Ray had been out due to my complaining that the door was making noise. He then proceeded to tell me that the door is made of metal so of course it will make noise and not be totally silent. He wanted nothing to do with my explaining that of course I know that but if it's making a loud noise it wasn't making before, then that is "not normal." I asked his name and if he was the owner or manager but he refused to give me this information. He did at least (begrudgingly) supply me with the phone number of Ray. I did tell Ray that the door was at least working so it wasn't an emergency but if he could let me know when he'd be in the area so we could arrange a time for him to come out and check the door. YES, I did say it wasn't urgent but it's been almost 2 weeks now ... a follow-up call at least would have been nice. It looks like I'm going to have to track him down. I will NOT be calling the main office though. I still can't get over how horribly rude that man was (I take it he is probably Kevin).
I happened to look Patriot Garage Doors up on Yelp, but unfortunately this was after I had used them. I have not seen this before, but out of multiple reviews, they only rated a 1. The comments for the most part mimicked my experiences. Oh how I wish I had looked them up on Yelp first. I generally take consumer ratings with a grain of salt as anyone can have a good experience with a company and someone else may have a poor one, but when time after time people are giving a company a rating of 1 out of 5, well that says a lot.

This was for my mother who is a senior citizen and my father had recently passed. I believe it was February but may have been a bit later. They were very fast coming to the house after we contacted them. Very knowledgeable and nice. Explained the problem with the springs and replaced them. He informed my mother that he would take care of any problems that might arise from his work. No problems a year or so later. However, we were later informed by another garage door person that we were grossly overcharged for the work that was done.

I have a warranty on the door so they will come out any time I need them. They were very good and I am certain that any other door people would have cost as much but they did a nice job. We got the door the next day after we called them and I will use them again in the future.
