I initially looked at ceramic tile samples at a tile outlet. The owner, recommended Mike Yanez, Pacific Tile & Natural Stone based on positive feedback from many of his customers. I scheduled an appointment with Angela at Pacific Tile & Natural Stone for Mike Yanez to meet at our home and give me an estimate for some ceramic floor tile work. However, Mike was delayed in the Bay area due to unforeseen circumstances on the day of our appointment, but did call to apologize and he offered to reschedule our meeting. I had already taken measurements of the areas I needed tiled so Mike provided me an estimate based on those figures. I was quoted $1200 for installation, $375 for demolition of the old tile and $1368 for the ceramic tile, which ran $4.00 per square foot, for a total of $2943. However, we decided to keep the existing tile since it is still in good condition and would match the new granite counter tops we were putting in. Mike's estimate was very competitive in comparison to other tile installers we contacted. I will definitely contact him when we need to replace our tile.
Description of Work: I contacted Mike Yanez, Owner/Installer of Pacific Tile & Natural Stone for an estimate to remove and install 342 square feet of ceramic tile in our kitchen, entryway and fireplace surround.
