I'm giving Michael 2-2.5 stars because he was flexible in dealing with our schedule and he gave us a fair quote, although his quality was so so. He did fine when it came to texturing and painting the walls, but not so good when painting cabinets and doors. He painted for us 1 year ago, paint on kitchen cabinets has already chipped off where they weren't cleaned and prepped properly. He got over spray on the stove/oven range which was not cleaned off. He claimed he was going to remove the door knobs and hinges when painting the interior doors, he did neither. he got over spray on hinges and door knobs and within 2 months paint was peeling off around some of the door knobs

"The kitchen cabinets were wiped down with hot TSP cleaning solution to remove grease and degloss finish. All hardware removed from cabinets. Cabinets sprayed and rolled with Rustoleum Zinsser B-I-N shellac-based primer. Nothing is better at permanently blocking stains, odors, and wood knots. Cabinets sprayed with DE6191, Exclusive Ivory, with Dunn-Edwards ULTRA-Premium Aristoshield oil-hybrid semi-gloss paint for extreme hardness and durability. All cabinet hardware reinstalled. The refrigerator and oven range was removed from the kitchen and covered with plastic sheeting. I removed the interior door knobs and completely covered the interior door hinges with masking tape. I shellac primered bare wood doors (3 pocket doors, 8 doors, 4 closet doors) at no charge. My helper and I worked 17 days starting 12/29/23 to 2/27/24. Before I sprayed the entire interior and cabinets, I prepped for popcorn ceiling removal by laying down plastic. Scrap ceilings and then dispose of all plastic and ceiling trash. Knockdown texture #1 where popcorn ceiling was removed. Sprayed PVA primer/sealer before painting. Removed paneling in family room and living room. Scraped off glue residue and fix drywall damage. Hotmud and skimcoat. Knockdown texture #2 where paneling was removed in family and living room. Sprayed PVA primer/sealer before painting. Place bundles of baseboards on buckets and 2X2's. Sprayed baseboards with semi-gloss enamel at no charge. I gave the customer a 10% Senior and Educator discount of $1026. My motto is Top-Quality paint job in a Timely Manner at a Fair Price. I've been a CSLB licensed Painting Contractor for over 20 years with 950 houses painted. I take before, during, and after photos of every job, including this one. Michael has painted two houses for me now. I am extremely happy with the high level of work he has done. Fast, detailed oriented and reasonably priced too! He does in fact use the highest quality materials and doesnâ t make a mess! We were particularly happy with the job he did on our cabinetry, making the house look like it was completely renovated. I wouldnâ t use anyone else, 100% recommended!

Michael Brandt just completed a painting job for us September 30, 2022, which included a barn, wrought-iron fencing & gate, and garage doors. Michael and his assistant, Brent, did an excellent job. Michael uses premium Dunn Edwards paint and is very knowledgeable about the chemistry of their products for the specific application. He recommended color consultant, Marie, at Dunn Edwards to assist us with selecting a color for the barn. With her guidance, she sent large samples home with us to decide on a color. It made it easy, and we could not be more pleased with the result. Michael took the utmost care in preparation and masking which was especially important to us. He was careful when spraying and applied generous coats of paint. He cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. We felt that Michael was honest and fair in his pricing. We enjoyed working with Michael, Brent, and his faithful & docile Dalmatian, Elmer. Should we have the need for additional work, we would hire Michael again.

I own a number of rental properties and had experience over the years working with painters. Michael was by far the best for communication pre-painting, during the job and at the end of the job. Price was reasonable for the quality job, so would rate Michael as "Best Value" for painting. He used Dun Edwards paint which was included in the price so he doesn't cut corners on quality. I was so happy with his work, we expanded the scope to the exterior trim and doors. Moving forward Michael will be be my go-to for future paint jobs. Shout out to Brent, who also worked on our place.

After reading only positive reviews on Michael Brandt Enterprises on-line on several different sites, I called him to discuss the possibility of painting a few rooms in two rental units. Michael was informative, professional, and helpful. He met me the next day after a busy day and was able to provide me with an estimate that was fair and promised it would be top quality and he would make me happy. He was able to complete the job the following week as contracted. I love it when contractors show up when they promise! Michael kept me in the loop the whole time. The rental units now look fantastic. What I appreciate about Michael is his willingness to listen to what I needed to accomplish within my timeline as well as his insightfulness and feedback as an experienced painting contractor. We had a wonderful experience with Michael (and Brent, and Elmer - the dog) from start to finish! During our first meeting/walk-through of the house, Michael was exceptionally thorough; it was easy to see that integrity and communication are of utmost importance to Michael. He was able to give us a quote very quickly and meet our timeline. Michael also connected us to one of his long-time friends to help with some trim work (dry rot) that needed to be done before we could paint the exterior of the house. He worked with us on color selection and gave fantastic suggestions (and tips!) based on our "coastal" style - including painting the front door a color that would really pop! We selected coral for the front door, and painted the exterior of the home a lovely, beachy teal with off-white trim. We couldn't be happier and after all was said and done, LOVE our home! After a year of outdoor projects, this was by far the best money we could have spent; it made the biggest impact on our home and the neighbors love it. A quick side story to speak to Michael's personality - our son (5 years old) went outside and "accidently" touched the wet paint. He was very embarrassed and ran indoors. Michael made it a point to invite our son back outside where he then taught our little guy how to hold a paint roller. He even let him paint a small section of the home. Our son's face lit up! Michael then taught him a "secret" handshake and made our son an official member of the crew by placing a Dunn Edwards cap on his head. Our 1923 Craftsman bungalow was in serious need of interior painting and we are so grateful that we found Michael Brandt Enterprises because this job required the professionalism and attention to detail that Michael provided. Michael spoke at length to us about his process and the types of paint needed, especially for our old wooden windows and trim. He encouraged us to meet with the color consultant at Dunn Edwards and to sample some of the warm neutrals we were considering. When we were stuck between a few colors, he patiently responded to our every question and made suggestions that were super helpful. According to other painters, our interior paint job was a challenging one as the condition of the walls and wood trim weren't great and there were furnishings in the home. If Michael found it challenging, he didn't show it. He and his sweet helper, Elmer the Dalmatian, worked long days and finished the job on time. The price was affordable, and more importantly, the job was highest quality- truly excellent. Michael prepped the rooms meticulously. He was super respectful of our home. Michael fixed cracks, smoothed out bumpy trim, and made the walls and ceilings sparkle. We truly can't stop smiling and staring at the walls. It's clean, bright, beautiful and all because of Michael Brandt. If I could rate him 10 stars, I would without hesitation.

5.0 for quality, service, value should say it all, but there's more. Michael is just a good guy who met every criteria I was looking for and a few I didn't expect. Like the 49er fan and veterans discount or his dalmatian, Elmer who is always with him and was a big hit in the neighborhood. Just a lot of personal touches. It had only been 8 years since my house was painted by another contractor, but the paint had been noticeably faded for a long time. I wanted to make sure that didn't happen again, so I was attracted to Michael using high quality paint. Since I chose the same colors as before, I am blown away by the contrast and detail. Bottom line is I am really happy with the paint job and know I will be for a long time to come.

Michael Brandt only uses the top of the line exterior paint - the Dunn Edwards Evershield Exterior. It is thicker and higher quality than anything other painters will use. Add to this Michael's excellent workmanship and attention to detail and the result is an absolutely stunning home exterior repainting for the price of a mid-level painter. The paint will be on your house for 25 to 30 years - make it count!

I highly recommend Michael Brandt to paint the exterior of your home! He gave us a very reasonable estimate and was punctual for our initial meeting. He explained his painting style very clearly and it was also helpful to work with the Dunn Edwards color advisor, as he recommended. Michael's motto is that he will "deliver a Top Quality paint job in a Timely Manner at a FAIR price" and he lives up to it! We had the exterior of our house painted are constantly being asked who painted our house and for contact information which is a giant testament to his work. You may find cheaper painters but they definitely will not live up to the quality of work with ultra premium paint that Michael does. His attention to detail is top notch and treat your property as if it were there own, cleaning up each night. I will definitely use Michael again but it'll have to be another house as I am sure this paint job will last a long time.
