"Thank you very much it was truly my pleasure to work with both of you. I wish you many years of happiness in our new home."
This was a big deal not good at all. It was more like a scam, we thought. Basically he came out to give us an assessment, but he really didn't give anything other than what we pulled up on the internet. In fact we did better than he did. He was just basically trying to come out to basically list our house. He already had the contract written up He was going to have us list with him right then, which I thought was pretty presumptive on his part. We were not happy with him at all. He came out shortly after I purchased the deal. He basically was like a hard sell. He was supposed to come out to tell us what we needed to do to get ready to sell, but 90 percent of the time all he was doing was showing us a power point on paper about his business and everything about him. He was selling himself and wanting us to list with him. He did not do too much about what we thought we were paying for. He did some comps, but we did better comps than he did. He could not even provide comps for the neighborhood, but he actually did things off the internet. It was false advertising for the deal we thought. He did not really provide what he advertised. He responded right away. He was there on time. Hew was a professional person and was not rude.
"Hello [Member Name Removed], I am sorry you were not happy with my services I showed up and took the time to look around your home and tell you the things that you needed to do to get the home ready for sale since you had not completed all of your repairs. I came over presented you information about my company and about myself and what made me qualified to represent you on the sale of your home there was no hard sell that is not my how I work and never have. I did have a fully completed listing agreement ready for your signature but only if you wanted to sign it. I always come prepared with the necessary documents I need to get the process started. I ran the comparable sales in your neighborhood and provide you what I felt was a realistic value of your home I did see that you have chosen not to sell the home since it still shows the same ownership information. I do my very best to make everyone happy with my services and so far I am doing a great job of that of you look at my previous reviews. I have had one Angie's List subscriber use my services on three different properties she has owned. So I must be doing something right. Thanks!"
"Thanks very much [member name removed] I look forward to the opportunity of working with you to represent you on the sale of your home when you are ready for it to go on the market."
"Thanks vey much [member name removed] I look forward to helping you sell your home once you have decided to do so. But until then I will gladly assist you to get it rented out like we have spoken about."
"Thanks very much I would love the opportunity in the future to assist you when you are ready to sell."
Mark is an outstanding realtor! I give him my highest recommendation.
"Thanks very much [removed member name] it was truly my pleasure to work with you both."
What a Surprise! A real estate agent who was in my corner from day one of our effort to quickly sell my house in California. The house was an inheritance and I live in New York. I used Angie's List to find and select an agent after a very difficult situation with renting the same house from afar. From the day I contacted Mark, he was not only professional but dedicated to helping me sell the property at a good price and in without delay. I was in some financial difficulty after a robbery at my business and was forced to sell the place in a timely manner. Mark accomplished both with remarkable skill and attention to detail. I therefore, wholeheartedly recommend him and his firm to anyone wanting to find a competent real estate agent in Northern California.
"Thanks very much [Member name removed] it was truly my pleasure to work with you i am glad you were pleased with my services."
When we found a property of interest, Mark was very thorough in working with us, the seller, and the financial institutions to support this transaction.
"Thanks very much hope you and Christine are doing fantastic and loving Auburn. Take care."
Though we were near completing the painting and cleaning in preparation for the sale, Shelly gave us invaluable decorator tips that enhanced the property increasing its appeal without breaking our budget. Mark immediately proceeded with the plan as outlined in their presentation. He motivated and supported us in getting the house ready even sooner than we thought possible which enabled him to hold the first and only open house a week later. We had people stopping and asking about the property the next day after Mark placed his yard sign indicating "For Sale-Coming Soon". He also marketed the house via the internet and MLS reaching many more potential buyers.
Mark gave us great direction and advice enabling us to select the best offer within days of the open house. We sold the property for $10,000 above the asking price. We signed with Mark and Shelly on the 2nd of the month and the property closed on the 30th.
Mark kept us informed every step of the way. He offered to assist us in any way he could to make the process more convenient and the least stressful due to us living out of the area.
The sale went so smoothly it was a "dream transaction". This was entirely due to Mark and Shelly’s outstanding attention to detail, immediate action, extensive knowledge, experience and enthusiasm. We highly recommend them!

Mark was the best prepared of the three realtors interviewed when I went to California. His price was also competitive. Since we were from out of state, one important criteria was that we needed a "go getter" who could support the three brothers from out of state and to minimize the number of trips and logistics of signatures on legal documents. Mark is technically savvy and supported us via email primarily and supplemented when need by phone well.
Mark laid out a good plan when we first met in early June. He was helpful with suggestions to prep the house. Although a few times we did not take Mark's suggestions, he still supported our decisions once made. We were able to prep the house a little quicker than we hoped. Mark was amenable and pro-active in that he immediately held an open house a week ahead of plan once he saw the finished result. He held several open houses and concentrated on the neighborhood versus internet marketing.
Throughout the selling process, Mark kept us well informed and advised. Our first full price offer was from a couple that were going to nit pick us to death through the whole contract. Once I got that read on the situation, Mark quickly supported stopping that bid and we moved quickly onto finding a more realistic buyer.
Mark was timely with all paperwork. I don't think he ever missed a beat relative to getting keeping the paperwork moving and out of his in box. Sometimes though I thought I signed the same paperwork twice (my only negative). Mark worked well with the estate lawyer which was a plus for me.
Mark is helpful even beyond the call of duty. Several times he did more than I could hope. Example: We had to install a strap on the water heater for earthquakes. Mark found a fix it man for us. He went to the house while the strap was installed. When there surfaced some complications, his being at the house on site made all the difference and saved us some extra expense and hassle.
Bottom line: We closed in early August with a full price offer. Mark earned his fee as far as I am concerned.
