More to tell once flaw has been resolved.

Rick took the measurements and 7 weeks later he and a coworker installed the security screen door in about one hour. The door looks great and it's sturdy!

I have them at least 20 years ago. I have their security door in my front door and I've never had any problems with it. I would recommend them highly. I don't know what they're like now but I know that that door is just held up beautiful. I couldn't ask for anything better. I like it because the door that we got in the winter time we put glass paint in it and that keeps the house warm and yet it's security door. It has the iron work coming outside of it but behind the iron work it has a glass paint so you can see out and get the sunshine in and that kind of stuff. And then in the summer time like now we have screen and the paints just come out and you switch them from winter to summer and it's behind the iron screening and it's very, very good. I called them because I was having trouble with my lock and then I realize it really wasn't trouble at all. I just had to put some stuff int he lock and then it worked fine so I didn't have to have them come out but they were very prompt in calling me back.

The estimator was one of the owners. He was early for the appointment and went through the options, explained the lead time, and prices. The quality of security doors from this vendor is much higher than what you typically see in home improvement stores. There were very simple doors available as well as more ornate ones in various colors. The selection was very good. We put down a deposit and waited for 4-6 weeks. The estimator did not communicate the amount of the deposit to the other owner, who put double the original deposit amount on the credit card. We did not end up paying more than the contract amount. It was just an office snafu. The product ended up looking very good and did not scream, "this house has an iron security screen door on front!" The installers were on time. The installlers at first were not going to address an issue with the doorway threshhold, but then when prompted, did so. The locks were not keyed until about a week later. It would have been better to have them keyed that day, but it required a second visit. We had to be insistent about getting a weekend appointment for the estimate, due to work schedule. The company communicates fairly well by email.

Eric, the installer, was fantastic! It's a family run business and he's the only installer. He knows what he's doing and made sure the door was installed correctly. The outer wood trim was warped on one side of the main door. I had not noticed this before hand. Eric custom fit trim pieces of wood behind the security door to make sure the door opened, closed, and locked properly. Eric didn't charge me for this extra service. This is a quality door. You really notice a reduction in noise with the glass in place. A nice breeze comes through our front door when we replace the glass with the screen.

They took off the old sliding patio screen door and disposed of it for me. I was very pleased with the service. There was one problem with a little gap, but the owner himself came right out and fixed it. They did an excellent job and did not leave a mess or any debris from the job. They never had any cancellations or delays in getting the work done. They stand by their product and work with you on anything that you are not satisfied with.
