They picture the more rare Ecuadorian Hermit Crab on their Hermit Crabs sales page which is what we Google searched. That's not the species I received! I paid $94.94 including overnight shipping for 5 small crabs @ $9.99 a piece on July 1st 2019. I received 5 small Carribean Hermit Crabs (aka run of the mill purple pinchers that can b bought a LOT CHEAPER locally) on July 9th. There was NOTHING in the purchase process stating they'd b unavailable after the holiday nor did I receive communication about it. I lost out on 2 days of work 1st for the original shipping date & then again after they finally emailed me July 8th that I could expect my live crabs the following day. Ecuadorian Hermit Crabs r available elsewhere online, but I chose them because guaranteed overnight delivery is easier on your pet. Not only did I not receive them when I should have, but I was scammed. They picture the harder 2 obtain Ecuadorian Hermit Crab on the sales page, but send u cheap, readily available Carribean Hermit Crabs (aka Purple Pinchers) which scams their buyer, but puts a LOT more money in their pockets. This is misrepresentation of the product they offer! It's the same as stealing. I could've picked up & hand selected r 5 Purple Pinchers at any of the 4 pet shops here for $5 - 7.99 a crab costing me AT MOST under $35 total. We were completely ripped off. I have email correspondence from Amanda AND Meg at [email protected] & neither r willing to send me hermit species they have pictured nor will they refund r money so I can actually purchase what my daughter wanted from 1 of the many other online sources offering Ecuadorian Hermit Crabs. I did file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well, but now have set out to warn any other unsuspecting buyers. What u c is NOT what you'll receive!
