"We are sincerely sorry that this customer's house was burglarized during the fumigation. Unfortunately this can happen and is becoming more prevalent. We informed them of the risk and asked them to consider implementing security measures while they were away. This is a separate document that they signed. The secondary lock that was placed on the front door by the fume crew was compromised and laying on the ground, the tarps were split and the front door was open. The fumigation crew took pictures of all of this. The front door was locked by the fumigation crew when they left the property on Saturday at approx. 3PM. The customer's keys were in their possession until they returned Monday morning. That is when they discovered the entry. I personally spoke with the Mr. twice on Monday. The first time to inform him of what had happened, the second time I gave him the direct phone number to the fumigators. He could get direct answers from them as to what they found when arriving at the house. They have told me that the customer never called them. In regards to Harry not calling him back for a week, that is not exactly true. The Mr. called on Wednesday and asked to speak with a manager. Harry was out in the field and the secretary called him with the message and gave him the phone number. He called the number, got no answer and left a message that he had returned the call. Unfortunately, Harry was given the wrong customer's number by the secretary and he left a message on their phone. When we saw on this review that they were claiming he had not returned their call for a week, he knew he had attempted to return the call and checked his cell phone call log. That is when we discovered what had happened. When we had not heard back from the Mr. by Monday morning, Harry called and spoke with him. So, we did not immediately return his call, but it certainly was not intentional and for that we can only apologize. We are not ashamed of what happened or how we handled it. We did everything that we could to inform them of the risk, made recommendations to help them secure their property and informed them of what happened as soon as we were notified. We also told them that we and the fumigators would answer any questions and would be happy to fully cooperate with the authorities if need be. I do not know what more we could have done or what more we could do."
"Our inspector found drywood termites in the area that the customer was concerned about. They also stated to him that another company found drywood termites and recommended a fumigation. They did not want to fumigate. We gave them an estonate for a localized treatment at a much lower price. Nothing was ever said about subterranean termites and our inspector did not find evidence of subterranean termites in what was inspected. He at NO TIME said that we were too busy and did not care if we got their business. The Mr. asked if we were busy and was told that yes we were but would definitely be able to do the job for him. Our inspector was very taken aback by the comments and when he was asked to tell us what transpired at the inspection, he stated that it was a normal inspection and they seemed like very nice people. I do not believe that any of my Employees would tell a customer that we were too busy and do not care if we get their business. If that is the impression that the customer got, then I sincerely apologize. It does no good to get into a "He Said', "She Said' argument. I can only go by what my inspector tells me. And it makes no sense to me that a customer would question our honesty because we did not find something that another company said was there and quoted a price for. It seems more likely that you would be be questioning the other company. We have been in business for over 40 years. You don't accomplish that by not finding the termites or telling customers you don't care if you get their business."
