Pros:  The quality of the final product was excellent and our interactions with the workers were
first rate.   David and his wife Nadine had excellent suggestions as to design and implementation.  The initial contract targeted ?middle price? range items ($36,000 initial proposal), which were pretty much on target although we upgraded a few items bringing the total up by about $2,000 (e.g., a much higher priced wood for the cabinet; included diagonal floor tiling;
fancier mirrors, etc).  Demolition revealed additional problems logically adding another $1,000 or so.  Examples are as follows.  MB?deteriorated plumbing needed replacing.
GB?the walls were not square so they had to be redone; deteriorated plumbing needed replacing.
PR?the vanity was too deep so the entry doorway had to be moved several inches (at no cost).
All of these unexpected problems were solved in an excellent fashion.  The project was started on Jan 4, 2015 and the
expected completion date was around Feb 28. Most of the work was completed on time except a few minor glitches
extended the completion date to around March 9th.
Cons:  Our expectation was that the MB was to be completed before starting on the GB and PR. This was
not the case.  An outside contractor failed to paint the MB properly (no primer coat was used before the final
painting) and the two windows (MB and GB) did not arrive until the very end of February.  We could not always predict
when the workers would come in to work because of conflicts with Dave Yarnall?s other ongoing projects.  This became
particularly aggravating during the second month (February) of the project because we had to move in and out of the MB.
The cabinet work in the PR was not measured properly so that the door had to be moved.  The bath tub
unit did not fit the GB properly because the room was not checked beforehand to be totally square, but perhaps this could not have been expected.
Overall:  Now that we?ve settled in and had a chance to use the bathrooms for over a month, we are very pleased with the overall
results and the beautiful appearance of the bathrooms.  We would have no reluctance to use the services of PD Contractors on additional projects.  We have in fact had them replace our kitchen faucet and plumbing system in mid-April, 2015.

We moved in about a month ago and are very pleased with the results. This house had not been lived in for years and was just a dream in my mind. Dave and Nadine got it right away and could visualize what was in our mind. First I want to say that the new kitchen is just great, it came to life from the description we gave Dave and Nadine. The bathroom is perfect. Also, all the workman that work with Dave were first rate. If a problem occurred Dave was quick to respond. The problems were minimuel, a bathroom faucet that was a little too tall, Dave found another that was just right. Dave and Nadine are so good at putting it all together, they have a talent for that. So we would recommend PD contracting for remodeling and designing.

Some of the work was done well. Some of the work was not done well. Problems were fixed when they were pointed out. We should have made sure the contract spelled out every detail and that we received a professionally drawn plan, to scale, for the work to be done. It seemed Mr. Yarnall didn't measure the space he was remodeling and that resulted in several problems.
We love the SolaTube Mr. Yarnall suggested we put in.

Dave Yarnell and the rest of the PD Contracting personnel are very pleasant to work with. I needed to have several things done on a new purchase before I moved in, and they were able to do them or connect me with other service people who did additional work (such as some major AC work). Because of some unexpected expenses like the AC, I wasn't able to complete some of the projects that were quoted. The price was reasonable on most of the work - midrange of the quotes I received. I've been happy with the work so far, and I will have them back again soon to do some additional electrical work.

My wife and I are very pleased with PD Contracting.  Our fiberglass shower/tub unit was re-glazed a few years ago by another company. However it cracked and chipped and was unusable.  It was time to replace the unit.  I checked out Angie's List and found Dave. His crew did a great job.  It was a small project, but  Dave was all about the details! It looks great and our kids love it. We will be using this company for our future projects. Bonus: Dave lives in my city and knows the neighborhood.
I would highly recommend Dave and his crew at PD Contracting! Thanks Angie's List!

All went exceptionally well.  The workers were there on time when scheduled and Dave kept in constant contact with me as to when the workers would be arriving to do what needed to be done on a certain day.  I would highly recommend this company.  I had terrible luck with a plummer a few months back and wound up paying and exhorbitant amount of money!  I did not belong to Angies list at the time and really regret that now.  I will be using Angies List for all my needs from now on!

He just got done with job; it took them about 2 weeks. A vehicle ran right into our front entrance. It was covered by insurance. They were outstanding. They always kept in touch with me. I would highly recommend them and they were very helpful. I will use them again.

I had already removed our old carpet and padding and completely cleaned concrete slab before carpet was installed. All went very well.... Very happy with quality and look of the shutters. Carpet is now just over 2 1/2 years old and doesn't seem to be holding up as well as we would have thought but not the contractors fault. Just two of us live here so maybe it's just time to clean carpeting and it will look fresh again and less matted.
At the time the contractor was very busy so it did take a few phone calls to get a return call but it was well worth it in the end.
Thanks PD Contractors.

They showed up in the morning around 10:45 a.m.   The put down covering to protect the floors, braced up the ceiling, removed the old window (which they hauled away), and put a 12 foot header (wood piece that goes above the sliding door area) in.  While this was being done the front door was removed and replaced, with new locks and doorknob mounted.  On Monday a drywall worker came in and did an outstanding job texturing the wall with a knockdown finish.  Because we had previously removed wallpaper from the wall the worker had to first coat the wall.  He said that we had too many gaps from removing the old wallpaper and that the torn spots would show through if they were just sprayed over with the knockdown coating (texture coat).  He really knew his stuff.  He was very good at protecting the floor with plastic.  The finished result was very well done.  It dried that night and the next day the worker returned and coated the wall in primer, per our agreement.  The wall looked so nice in primer, it was almost a shame to paint it.  But I did paint it and between the porch posts in our view, the sliding door/window installation and the textured wall, our whole outlook is changed.  Overall everything was done smoothly and quicker than I originally anticipated.  We plan to have P. D. contracting do further work in the future and highly recommend him to anyone wishing to have work done.

Overall I am happy with the work and will continue to work with these guys.
Dave wants to do things the right way, so at times that meant spending a little more money. But because of the good work he did, I was able to sell my homes for full price in less than two months after he was done.
Basically how it works is, Dave will show up and go through everything you want done to the home. He may bring a few of his guys and they will get up on the roof, under the house, and thoroughly inspect everything. He is very knowledgeable with the various health and safety codes and will make sure that you know everything that needs to be done to get your property in compliance.
He shows up on time, communicates well at all hours of the day and night, and Dave's a nice guy as well.

I had trouble with a remodel project that was almost completed as a previous contractor went MIA before putting the final touches on. I contacted numerous local contractors to help me complete the work that was missing. I was hard pressed on timeframe, and Dave with PD Contracting literally saved the day for me!
He was very punctual, professional, reasonably priced, and responsive. I communicated my needs and he communicated different questions and some really good feedback very well. Often times, contractors might do good work but are subpar on communicating status updates to their clients. The PD Contracting crew was exceptional on both sides of the equation.
Dave, Jeff, and everyone else over there: THANK YOU SO MUCH for your help. I look forward to our next project together!
