Do not business with this company. If you’re buying countertops through Lowe’s make sure you do not get assigned to this company for contracting. We were told at the date of purchase on our $10,000 countertops that they would be installed in 4-6 weeks. 2 weeks later, we got called by Hy-tech that the countertops are delayed 2 weeks because they were back-ordered. Two weeks later they called us telling us that the countertops were now in, but they still wouldn’t be installed for an additional 4-6 weeks – giving us a date that was nearly 3 months after purchase. We explained this wasn’t fair and wouldn’t work, and that it isn’t our fault that the countertops were back ordered. They wouldn’t budge. So, we called Lowe’s and requested a refund because we couldn’t accommodate that install date given an upcoming surgery in our household that needed to be quarantined post-surgery and we couldn’t do it. Then, Lowe’s called them and got them to move the date up to the day before our surgery, to avoid losing the money we paid. On the day of install, they come and realized that they needed to cut one of the slabs because they can’t fit it up the elevator, and it’s to heavy for them to carry. I find this infuriating being that we had their company come out twice to do measurements. Regardless, they assured us, the cut wouldn’t be obvious, and they can do it on the spot. ..3.5 hours later they had only installed 1 small segment of our countertops and informed us that they needed to leave because one of the installers was having a medical emergency in his family. These types of things happen and we are understanding, but given we have a 8am surgery the next morning, we needed the job completed that day to prepare for quarantine with our stove and plumbing reconnected before tomorrow. The company refused to send anyone out to finish the job that day. They would only do it the following day even though one of the guys here installing said he would stay and do it or come back that night to do it if they would send someone to come from another job to do it, but he assured us that knowing this company they likely wouldn’t care or help figure it out given our circumstances. He was right.. They wouldn’t figure it out and just didn’t want to pay for or arrange it because as the guy installing told us, they never make accommodations when things like this happen. So, here we were are - left with no countertops, no plumbing, no connected stove and having to cancel our plumber that was coming the following day to install our plumbing with no acceptable plan from this company. Not to mention, we paid for “sub-flooring” to be installed, all of which we went ahead and did ourselves, so they arrived and all they had to do was literally install the countertop that was already cut and on their truck. All around they’re unprofessional, not trustworthy, and clearly have poor business practices.
