I booked and prepaid for a two-hour service on October 1, 2025. The service I paid for was not performed, and absolutely no work was done. After multiple attempts to resolve this with customer support, they have refused to issue a refund and have kept my full payment for a service that never happened. I will delete this review after the issue is resolved. If you are reading this, it means HireAHelper still has not done anything about this, and the same could easily happen to you. Please be aware of this risk before you pay, as there are more trustworthy options available.

Yes, I recommend this pro
It is a different company that works for them. You see who is available and they send out how many people you need and this and that. You go online.   We rented two trucks, we had everything boxed up. They loaded up the furniture and took the boxes and loaded up both trucks. We drove both trucks down to South Carolina and then a company down here through HireAHelper ended up unloading and putting most of the stuff in storage and the few things we needed here to live until we found a house to buy. They priced by hour and pieces. So if you wanted two people and you had something heavy like a grand piano or if you have real heavy furniture, I mean, they added on things like heavy appliances or freezers or refrigerators or I know they had mentioned like huge dining room hutches and things like that. It all depends and they had certain weights, like, some people own gun safes or they have like heavy exercise equipment things, like that they would charge extra for things like that. Then they would give you a price for if you had two people for two hours or four people for four hours, or whatever they provide then you would just customize and they would tell you if they would provide that for you and what you needed to do. I thought they were very good. They had a little grading system on HireAHelper's website and we graded them. They were polite, kind, did the job, loaded the trucks, packed them up and everything was good. We didn't have any breakage, nothing. Considering everything up in the DC area is inflated so much anyway, their pricing is good. It was a lot cheaper than having a moving company come, pack up everything, put it in a semi truck and then drive it down here. We saved a lot of money.  They were on top of things and provided us with the same company twice. We moved over Thanksgiving and then again over the Christmas holidays. The same thing down here too in South Carolina. It was good. They did their job and even did the day after Thanksgiving and on Christmas Eve because that was the only time we could get the trucks and drive down here. They were a bunch of guys. It was funny because it was so cold and then it started to rain the first time. They were there packing up that truck and they were working really hard. We ended up getting them hot chocolate, snacks and stuff like that. They were really good, we tipped them, and worked hard.  They had like a main guy and he would rally with the other guys. My sons are that age. They were, like, in their 20's and it was interesting to see how they interacted with each other because they were like good friends or family members. It was interesting to see people work together doing the same thing. It was like my boys having friends over. It was interesting watching them interact. It was very stressful because the day we left was Thanksgiving morning and we went out to the trucks. They had loaded everything the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and my husband took off work. We ended up with a flat tire on one of the truck. We had to call an emergency service. It was a good thing or it would've blown on the highway. It pushed our departure on Thanksgiving day until 3 in the afternoon. We had to wait several hours to leave. We then hit the traffic on 95 which was a nightmare.
