Although I have been threatened by Stephen Dillman, the company’s owner, with Legal Action if I use the “internet” to post reviews re: my solar screen experience, it is more important to me to share this incident and offer advice than to incur his wrath. In short, I was sold 17 solar screens on the promise they would “cool the indoor temperature of my home by 10 degrees.” They didn’t. I asked for a refund and this whirlwind of madness began. Demand every aspect of their sales pitch in writing; claims, promises, expectations for product performance. The estimate, a verbal agreement and a handshake did not hold water for me. They are now denying the content of that agreement. Have pre-job proof of whether or not they carry commercial general liability insurance (required by law.) I was not given the information. An installer cracked a glass pane in my skylight by drilling thru the frame, a $925 repair. I’m now being ignored by Mr. Dillman. Check to see if the salesman is registered with the Contractor’s Board…mine wasn’t. The real cost? $2,111 (17 screens) + $925 (skylight repair) = grief, humiliation, threats, incident reports filed with the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Dept., and a whole lotta paperwork to file consumer complaints. What happened to “service with a smile?” It’s too late in my life to throw $3,000 out the window (no pun intended.)

I had picked up their brochure after seeing a product demonstration at a local "Home and Landscape" expo. A few weeks later I contacted them for an estimate. The sales rep came to my place and again went over the features and benefits, and I accepted his estimate. He then took measurements and placed the order with the manufacturer (note, the door parts are not "off the shelf"). When the parts arrived, the office notified me and set up an installation appointment. The installers actually arrived early and were finished in about two hours.

The security screen door lets me open the slider to get some air flow without having to worry about possible intrusions if I am in another part of the house. And cats and other critters can't scratch holes in it.

They did a fantastic job.....Sales rep was friendly/honest & easy to talk to....they were very patient with us......i would definitely recommend to everyone to try....the look of the product looks great!! We love it...Thankyou!!

Joey the salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful on explaining all the options we had to choose from.  He took perfect measurements.  Austin the installer just had set the screens right in place with no tweeting necessary.  Austin was 100 percent customer service.  We determined that we had missed the need for one more screen.  This was no problem as Austin went back to his truck and pulled out the necessary materials and make a custom screen right on the spot.
Would differently recommend Steve's Mobile Screens as the place to get custom screens.

While the doors were expensive, the company was very professional, prompt, and easy to work with. The only issue we had was that the first set of doors had to be sent back because the place where the handles were to be installed were in the wrong place. We dont know if this was a manufacturing issue or not? Other than that, the doors are beautiful. We would use them again.
