ORTIZ ROOFING

Jerry Ortiz gave me the estimate and showed up three weeks later to do the job. A satellite dish was installed on a fascia in the way of where the gutter was supposed to go. He agreed to remove the dish and leave it off so the gutter run would be continuous and I was going to call dish to reinstall it properly. He did the job while I was not at home. When I returned, the dis was still attached to the fascia and the gutter had been stopped and capped on each side of the dish mount. Very stupid and ugly gutter installation! One of the downspouts was twisted into a few wierd angles and looks unbelievably ugly (on the front of the house, no less). He will not return to make the job right. Stupid me for paying up front for the job.

Unfortunately, we would not hire this company again. After signing the contract, they decided to take a week vacation which delayed the start up of our project. When we tried calling them, they never returned our calls and when we did get in touch with them they were rude. Although the price was normal, we almost were not able to sell the home because of problems encountered with this company.

Ortiz Roofing made multiple visits to repair the leaky roof over a period of several years. After each repair attempt, the roof leaked again. Eventually, we asked another roofer to look at it and were told that the roof had not been installed properly: it had too few layers of felt for its shallow pitch. We also learned from the county that there was no record of a permit for the job. We presented this information to Ortiz and asked that the company replace the roof, doing the job properly. Ortiz refused to take responsibility. In the end, we had to hire another company to replace the roof at our expense.

I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DID. AFTER IT RAINED, MY ROOFED LEAKED WHICH CAUSED WATER DAMAGE TO MY HOME. WHEN I TRIED TO CONTACT THEM TO REPAIR IT, THEY WOULD NOT RESPOND BACK TO ME.

THEY CAME OUT AND TOLD ME EXACTLY WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. THEY GAVE ME A ROUGH ESTIMATE, WHICH WAS VERY CLOSE TO THE PRICE THAT I PAID. THEY DID THEIR JOB WITHOUT ANY MISTAKES AT ALL.

This company is one of the best companies I have ever worked with. They did a very good job, and our roof looks great. We are happy with the end result. The people that did the work are friendly plus they are a family owned company. I am a senior, and he treated me very well. They are nice, and caring people.
