Hi i bought some material from this company for commercial job in Washington dc 4 months ago. before i buy the material i told them its for night club got have the Commercial warranty they told the material have . the day the material arrive before we we unload the truck i open box my self and i see right way the material is really low quality and the material have no label the material is from china and they put the company label in the box , after i see that i call them and i told this material will not work and the owner told me the material is good and have 5 years warranty i said ok , after 3 months the flooring is crack is chip everywhere the material is really bad quality, i call the sale person that sold the flooring i told her we need something i being waiting for monts for them to sent someone and then they finally say they was going sent inspector guy and i had to pay the Inspector $750 for the inspection the job , so this is not acceptable they was supposed to be the ones that pay the inspector. so now they just told me to go ahead and sue them . be aware of this company the material they have with label with the company is not good quality material . now we will see them in court ,

When dealing with the sales men at first they were very pleasant. We went in later and spoke with a sales woman (can't remember her name) but she was not helpful and a bit rude. She was the reason we decided not to use this companies services.

The lady came, and did a very loose estimate, but in the meantime the samples arrived the next day, I selected the final choices, and we had my handy man's numbers, so I let Kevin know about the numbers, and he wanted to be exactly sure so he had his marmo certified installer, Carrie come out with her assistant, and they took more measurements. Then kevin emailed me, and explained what no other place was telling me, that because marmo comes in small sheets of 6'8" there was some waste and gave me a new estimate that was only 300.00 more than his original quote.  I let my sister know and she approved the funds.  Carrie arrived monday morning to do the demo and prep. I was able to come back that night to sleep, giving me one more day to locate a better motel... (long story) so tuesday morning She arrived with her crew, and I did not come home until thursday evening. They did a wonderful job! There are several small things Carrie needs to fix but they're not big issues;  where there is still carpeting she has to install rubber strips instead of metal so i won't trip in my walker, and also, there is one place where the rubber base did not get enough glue.   other than that I love my floors!
I woke with a headache the first day home, but the glue fumes are gone, and only the smell of the marmo remains, and it is going away more each day.
I did my homework here and on yelp, and Kevin and the floor store got so many more positive reviews than any other single installer in the east bay.  I am one more happy customer!

It's not the thick plush kind of carpet, it is a level or two down from that. They came and measured first and were punctual for that appointment. I didn't like that they didn't give me much information on the individual types of carpet. You just have to ask questions if you are interested in something. It is more like a warehouse type of place and you don't really get a lot of help. You should probably know what you want before you go in. They have "owners" price which is different than what they give the general pubilc. I got the owners price because my landlord had done business with them before. They hire outside of their company for the installation and I had to pay them seperately, but that was not made clear to me before hand.

The installation went very smooth (given the fact it is a very simple job). However we felt the sales person overcharged us on installation. The carpet cost was $95, but we had to pay $110 for installation and another $45 for pads. On top of that, they made us pay the installer $50 directly when they performed the work. They said that it was for tack-strips. My husband knows tack-strips don't cost that much! We had to get the carpet in fast, so we sucked it up, but we will not use these guys again for carpeting in the future.

The Floor Store installed water resistant indoor-outdoor carpeting in the basement. The carpeting covered both the floor itself and a right angle staircase leading to the upstairs of the home. Two men took ninety minutes, with little difficulty and were in and out in no time. They did a good job even though it only took them a little bit to install it.
