Kings River Plumbing Company

In August 2025 I hired Kings River Plumbing (Jeffrey Hagopian, owner) to perform licensed irrigation sprinkler installation work at the Reedley College Dental Building Demolition Project. We agreed to a total rate of $170 per hour — $100/hour through SoCal Removal payroll (with taxes withheld) and $70/hour to Kings River Plumbing. On August 22, 2025 I issued a check for $2,800.00 to Kings River Plumbing as a good-faith deposit to cover the first 40 hours at $70/hour — essentially the first week of the business portion of the compensation. This was not a separate consulting contract but an advance for licensed irrigation work under Mr. Hagopian’s contractor license. According to Mr. Hagopian’s own timecard, only 10 hours of work were performed (8 hours on day one and 2 hours on day two) before the project was terminated for convenience by the District on August 26, 2025. He left the job site early while our other employees remained working. I have repeatedly requested a refund of the unearned balance — $2,100.00 — but as of September 18, 2025 no refund has been issued. A formal contractor’s bond claim with Hudson Insurance Company is now pending. This review reflects my personal experience and documentation. My hope is that the matter will still be resolved promptly and fairly.

WE picked up the new water heater at his request.  It was my mistake not to ask for an estimate for labor, but this business was recommended by a friend.  We expected to pay $250 based on other quotes. We were charged almost $600 for labor alone.  When we complained, after checking with two other plumbers, we were completely ignored.  No response to phone message or email.  BAD business.  Even our friend later said they thought charges were inconsistent and often too high.  Nice guy, though.  Just get an estimate first!
