About us

Gerald and Debbie Purviance have been married for 28 years. They have one married daughter, Aubrey and two grandchildren Ellie and Tess. Gerald began tree work in 1971 working with his dad, Forrest Purviance. He has owned his own business since 1979. Julio has 5 years experience in ground work and landscaping. David has 7 years experience in ground work and landscaping. Luis has 17 years experience in ground work, landscaping, and as a climber. He now works as a crew leader and lead climber. G. Purviance Tree Service has been serving Tulare, Fresno, and Kings Counties since 1979 and is a member of the following: Members of the TCIA (TREE CARE INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION) Members of the Farm Bureau Members of Western Regional Master Builders Association California State Contractors License # 711110 Performance Bond from J&C Corbett Insurance Services, INC. # GCL1144357

They did a tremendous job and they came out on a Sunday, when the tree fell on our house, with a whole crew, which they normally do not do. They gave us a very fair price, which we were shocked. I called Gerald on Saturday and told him that we needed to be put on the schedule and they came out on Sunday. I have used him before and he was amazing. He is very fair with people. He does great work and the guys clean up very well before they leave your house. They will ask me if everything looks okay. He makes sure that I was satisfied before they leave and he is a great businessman. I would highly recommend him. Our house was just covered in tree. Even the insurance company was shocked at what he charged, especially on a Sunday. We always call Gerald out when we have tree issues; we have 5 acres of trees.

Because one tree was leaning dangerously and the wind was blowing so hard, I called and asked him to come earlier than scheduled appt. He did! He trimmed the two trees beautifully, cleaned up all around, and advised me on the leaning tree. Very pleased with him and his work. Will call him for future tree trimming.

He removed the tree without disturbing any existing landscaping. His pricing is more than fair.We communicated with voice mail part of the time.  He is prompt and returned my call in a timely manner. We highly recommend him for any tree removal you may have.

They do an excellent job. They've been in business for quite a while. They're very reliable. I would recommend them. They did everything they were supposed to. Our tree is still standing, and it's healthy. We never had any concerns. They were very professional. They always showed up when they said they were going to.

It is a owner operated company and the owner himself does all the work, but he has a crew as well. He does a really good job. He is very inexpensive and reasonable. The cost for tree service depends on what needs to be done.

I have used Purviance Tree Service a few times before and every time has been a good experience. They do a good job cutting...one that is healthy for the tree. I've seen other "tree services" that have damaged trees by hacking the trees up. Their prices are reasonable and they do an excellent job cleaning up.
