Stuart Flooring is one of the gold standard companies for Hardwood. Very professional and reliable. We are property managers, and cannot afford second tier quality or service, and Stuart delivers what we need every time.

Excellent. I have ever had such conscientious workers in my house. No distractions. Punctual. Helped each other in measuring and executing tile in closet and corners. Thoroughly professional as well& the floors turned out terrific. Before they began, Trevor showed them the ins and outs of the job, and where the sloped portions were. He knew because he had done his homework measuring and had had experience with this type of situation.

They were not the cheapest, but they were so knowledgeable about how to make the repairs we needed and how to work with us on our budget. The floors turned out beautiful. There were two spots that we asked them to do a fix on their work and they worked with us to make sure that we got the product we wanted in the end. They fixed their fix.

They are really knowledgeable. They have or can get anything that I want by way of supplies or flooring. They are a long standing company. They are highly regarded as far as I can tell. I have to say that the prices are a little on the high side but the knowledge and supplies that they are able to obtain are as good as anybody around, if not the best around.

I spent $6500 on that work. They were referred to me by my construction manager and they were okay. When I first talked them, I wasn?t quite sure, but it was convenient that they had a show room locally in Redwood City for me to poke around. The salesman Dave Curtis that I dealt with was very kind and nice as could be. I decided what I wanted and he was able to obtain it and it was quarter sawn red oak which was unusual. They were able to take care of it without a blink and I went back and forth on whether I was going to do a border or not in that space and he was very accommodating with that. When the workers came out to do the work, one of the guys to close the door when he was standing because my young child was eating right outside where he was working and he refused to do so. It angered me and called the main office and they assured me that they would take care of it. They did not and there were two guys and one was very pleasant and polite and the other was a bit of a loose cannon. For the most part we are happy with the floor, but my husband noticed a couple of little imperfections in the wood and we asked Dave about it. He came over to look at it and actually gave him some kind of product to fix it himself and I thought that again was unfortunate that he told him to take care of it himself. I have been reading a lot on the internet and when they put a wood floor in, they are supposed to bring the wood in and let it rest for 10 days, so that it acclimates to the median of the house, but we did not get a chance to do that. We asked them if there were extra pieces to keep if there was any damage and we could use it to replace it, but they cleaned up so thoroughly and taken everything away. He did bring them back when we asked for it, but the guy was very disrespectful. Anytime that I dealt with the home office, I think I got the owner one time and he was very nice, polite and professional, but they did get what I wanted. I did not get the door closed so my kids could eat.

We bought this house new in 1998, and some places on the floor desperately needed re-doing; also there were some water-damaged boards near a patio door. We got bids from a few people about a year ago, but didn't do the project then. In mid-June 2009 I contacted Stuart Floor again, and reached agreement on the price and scope of job. They began the work less than a week later, and did a completely wonderful, beautiful job! PROCESS: Right on schedule. Started when they said they would, and the job proceeded exactly as they explained and projected. Excellent job protecting kitchen cabinets and other rooms etc from dust and mess during the sanding and urethaning. Explained what they were doing and what I needed to do. Helped us by carrying outside and covering a very big, heavy desk that was in one of the rooms that was just too heavy for my wife and me to move ourselves. Friendly, responsive, timely, careful and completely professional. FINAL RESULT: The floors look completely terrific and we're delighted. Great job of matching the stain for the sanded and re-stained floors to the adjoining rooms where they only put down one layer of urethane without re-sanding. Cleaned up after themselves perfectly. For no extra charge they also put one coat of urethane on the floor of a small powder room that we had forgotten to talk about earlier, and did the step outside the front door. A completely excellent job at a good price. Having a floor unavailable for a week or so is a big disruption. But having the job done right by people who care to do a great job makes it much easier.

Work done on schedule (2 men working 3 full days for installation, 3 partial days on finish). Floor and trim completed to match the adjacent existing wood in finish tone, grain pattern, board width, and decorative trim style.

Job went well overall. Some problems were uncovered (slopping floor). We had an issue in the half bath, which delayed the project. We think it was due to the estimator not understanding the Wilson Art product. This delay cost us nothing more, other than time. Their installer knew the product well and insisted the product be installed according to manufacturer's requirements. The slopping floor was 'fixed' as best as possible by the installer (we are ok with that). 11 months later, we are happy with the product and the workman ship by Stuart flooring. The kitchen and breakfast room were completed quickly, but the half bath took an additional couple of weeks, since we had to order a vanity...etc before the flooring was to be installed.

I was very pleased with the quality of the job. The entire floor was not redone, so the newly re-stained area had to be matched best as possible with the existing flooring. The linoleum repair was so good, I can't even tell where it was done.

THE PRICE FOR THE COMPLETED WORK WAS A GOOD PRICE. THE EMPLOYEES SENT TO COMPLETE THE JOB WERE PROMPT, EFFICIENT AND ACTUALLY QUITE NICE. MY FLOORS HAVE A BIT OF A ROUGH FEEL TO THEM IN SOME PLACES WHERE THEY PREVIOUSLY DID NOT, BUT OVERALL IT WAS A VERY GOOD JOB.

THE PRICE WAS HIGH DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE ROOMS AND THE QUALITY OF THE WOOD SELECTED, BUT THE BID WAS COMPETITIVE. ONCE WE ACCEPTED THE BID, THEY QUICKLY SET A DATE TO BEGIN WORK. THE WORK WAS COMPLETED WITHIN THE TIME ALLOTTED, AND THEY LEFT THE HOME IN IMMACULATE CONDITION. WE LOVE OUR NEW FLOORS!
