SCHAEFER DRYWALL

Work was done on time as promised.  Work site was left clean.  The seams needed a little more sanding after they dried.

Long and short of it, they talked a good talk, but when it came time to follow through, Schaefer was Missing-in-Action... without the decency (or professionalism) to even return our calls. Now, we're stuck, a few weeks for Thanksgiving with the project well behind schedule, the claim continues to be delayed at the insurance company, Christmas on its way and oh yeah, a baby coming in the New Year. Learn from my experience - find someone that has a little more professionalism and decency to politely say, "Sorry, I can't deliver what I committed to in that quote," that unless this laissez faire attitude and wanton disregard for customer service has caused Schaefer Drywall to go bankrupt.

Mark came out to give me an estimate. Scheduling the estimate was easy. Gary did the work. He was punctual and communicated his timeline clearly. He did the job without creating too much dust, and was a very contentious in trying to contain the dust and cleaned up well when he was done. The work was completed on time and on budget. I would definitely use Schaefer again.

Overall, it was a great job. Had a large team to sheetrock ceiling in one day. Had a great experienced guy do all of the mudding/taping and texturing (this can be an art form in itself). One goof was an electrical line that got buried. I told Mark, he apologized and offered to fix the problem. However, my electrician was able to make a small hole in wall and fish out fire and the counter backsplash will cover hole. Problem resolved. Recommendation - take pictures of construction project in progress and count your wires, etc. you need exposed after a job.

Mark was exceptionally competent, courteous and did the required.

Easy to work with, showed up on time. Very satisfied with the quality of work. Cleaned up after the job was finished.
