It went well and smoothly. I had been impressed with the work they did some years ago removing a greenhouse and continue to be very happy with their work. I will continue to use their services, as the need arises.

A smooth transaction, with promptness and good communication, without involving us for more than a few minutes to point out what was to be hauked away and what was to be left behind.

They showed up on time. Worked quickly, cheerfully, confidently. We were very happy with their results.  They were prompt. They were easy to work with. There wasn’t a lot of going back and forth, changing anything like that, easy to work with.  The crew showed up on time, they worked quickly, they picked up everything and they left. The only thing is that they could have taken credit cards. It was great.

Great work crew. Took everything, including the incredibly heave sofa bed, and dubious cans of paint, from my house and storage. I love that they recycle as well as take donation worthy items to non-profits. They were fast, efficient and brought enough guys to get things done in about 20 minutes.

Unfortunately, we have found out much later of the deceit. These "good guys," as they call themselves, basically took us for a ride. They were supposed to remove an old leaking pond from our back yard and back fill it with "soil." I am not even going to say how much we paid because it is now embarrassingly painful. The work took place over a year ago so we only discovered that we were wronged because we started digging up the yard in order to lay a new path and plant flowers. We discovered tons of debris that was simply buried to hide it, and tons of cement still in place that was supposed to be completely removed or at least "shaved" down to 10" BELOW THE SURFACE - enough for planting. Then, to make matters worse, we realized that just below the surface (1-3"), they dumped tons of sand instead of soil, like they promised. Not even "good ol' dirt." Just sand. When I contacted the owner, he immediately went on the offensive and started trying to list things they did do and what was verbally agreed on. Pointing out that I told him we were only going to use the yard to plant flowers or a lawn. Whatever we decide to do with our property when he's done is no one's business. We should be able to do whatever we decide to do, whether we change our minds or not. Either way, it should have been cleared enough to use without feeling like we were digging through a land fill. Rian is basically shirking any responsibility at all. Instead of making certain we remained happy customers by taking care of business. He just did whatever he wanted behind our backs, took our money, and slipped out as quickly as possible. And now refuses to acknowledge our concerns. I am certain that he will even be so bold as to answer this with more of his unapologetic bull, just like a two-bit bully. And that's part of the problem. He doesn't even care to make it right - at any level. So this is a big warning to people who do not want to get screwed and end up chasing these people later for money back or getting a job actually completed correctly. These guys are underhanded and money-motivated only! They will do the least they can for the most they can get. And they'll do it all to your face, with a smile and a handshake.

"I am very sorry that your project was not completed up to your standards. Although this work was completed over 1 year ago, I still remember it well. We demolished a large concrete pond with compression jack hammers. You told me that you didn't need it all removed because you were going to put grass over the area and understood the cost would have been higher. We removed all of the walls below the surface level and put holes in the bottom for water to drain. All work had to be done by hand with a 6 man crew and brought through a 3ft side yard. We also removed a tuff shed, foundation, and a wooden trellis (which we discounted a lot because we were already there doing work.) Throughout the 5 long days we were there, I spoke with you every step of the way. You were there on site everyday and saw how hard my crew and I worked. You also ate lunch with us. At the end of the day, you and your wife came out and were very pleased with the work we did. We walked the yard together. At no point did you say you were unhappy nor did you question our work. The truth is, I value my customers very much and I pride myself on integrity and honesty. I have never had any issue with my clients because I strive to provide excellent service no matter the size or cost of job. That's why when you contacted me about this, I said I'm happy to come out so we could resolve this. You told me "that day won't work for us, I believe we will opt to resolve this in a different manner." So I'm sorry you felt the need to go online, change your review, and question my integrity (on multiple sites) but you never gave me a chance to come over. Even after all of this, I'm still willing to come out and meet with you because you are a customer and I am a man of my word. If anyone has any questions regarding this issue please contact me at 6507877160. I'm happy to provide any other information including the proposal. Thank you very much. Sincerely, Rian Carroll (Owner) [email protected]"

The upfront communication was excellent and all my questions were answered. The actually work and subsequent communication was terrible. The team scratched (below the surface, not superficial) my hardwood floors when moving the stove. To add insult to injury, I felt bullied when I reported it to the owner - to the point where I felt uncomfortable allowing him to come to my home to examine the damage.
Response from Rhino's Hauling & Demolition
"Hi, I apologize if I made you feel 'bullied' in any way. I was only trying to help solve the issue which was reported to me 4 days after we had completed the job. When we left the job you were very happy with our work and at no point did you call me and tell me otherwise. I told you I would be more than happy to come out and repair any damage that was done to the floors even though it was almost a week later. The scratches were very small and minor on the surface of the floor which could be repaired quite easily. I was scheduled to come out 2 days after you called to fix the scratches and then you called me and said "forget it we can do it ourselves." Once again, my intention was to resolve the problem but I was not given a chance to do so. I do appreciate your business and hope you enjoy your new kitchen."

This is the 3rd year in a row I've used Rhino Hauling.  The guys always confirm the appointment, show-up on time, bring adequate help and clean up after themselves.  I am so happy with their service.  They have competitive prices and do a great job without fail. I'm sure I'll be giving the guys a call next year for my annual clean out.
P.S.: They left my yard looking great and swept up.  You guys rock!!

These guys made arrangements with me, went out of their way to make me happy, and did a great job.
They removed a bunch of junk I had in my garage.  It took them like 15 minutes of hard work, but they did it and did it very well.
Thanks!!!!!

Rian's team was fast, efficient and professional. Rian was super responsive as well, even though he had a very important family issue to handle. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

First, Rian and his team were very accomodating.  I had to coordinate the wall removal with my window contractor's schedule.  So I kept Rian updated on window progress and gave him a two week final notice on timing that he was able to accomodate.
The work took one full day with three workers.  The cost included hauling and dumping fees which have increased at least in the bay area.  They were very thorough and asked a lot of clarifying quesitons throughout the project to ensure that they removed only those things I wanted to have removed. the free standing wall had electrical embedded into it so it got tricky since I wanted to retain the electical elemetns. They were very punctual, beginning at 8 and working until about 6 pm.  They took care not to remove the tar paper under the brick veneer and covered my bare wall with a tarp I supplied to protect it from the elements - until my window contractor could begin his work.
I wouldn't hesitate to use Rhino's again.

Went great! Ryan was responsive & fast at communicating. He gave us a quote on the spot and was able to complete the work in our time frame. He and his team worked hard and fast and left the job area in good condition. Job well done, extremely satisfied.
