Excellent job. They were very prompt, respectful, respectable and thoughtful. They helped us think out and manage all of the complications associated with paving a driveway shared by two properties. They managed all of our weird complications and requests to do with drainage, curbs and resetting sewer cleanouts. All told, they did a fantastic job, and the driveway looks wonderful. We'd certainly use these guys again without any hesitation.

Bar none, this was the absolutely best experience I've had working with a contractor.  The quality of the work is great.  They started and finished on schedule.  Project came in slightly below budget.  They are responsive and collaborative throughout.  There were 3 different crews involved in my project - and all of them were responsive and easy to work with throughout.  I would hire them again in a heartbeat.  Highly recommended.

The estimator was very patient, easy to reach, and answered my questions thoroughly. The owner understood the inconvenience of changing my demo date, as I had to consider parking and noise issues for my neighbors. He rearranged the schedule and put more men on the job to accommodate me. It took only 5 hours, with minimal fuss. The workers were very nice, and they actually carried away some extra construction debris from my yard at no charge. I am very grateful and will definitely use this company again.

Peninsula Concrete rebuild two retaining walls in front of my house.one was 4.5" high and the other up to 8" high.  The walls were previously wood and were rotting and leaning.  They had a large crew with two excavators and began work on time.  they excavated to install drainage and geogrid.  All inspections were passed and they finished on time and within budget.  The walls now look great and should last 100 years.  Very satisfied and recommended.

The work was completed exactly on schedule!  The crew was punctual, worked efficiently and cleaned up behind themselves every day. Every aspect from demolition, framing, the concrete pour and brick inlay went smoothly.  I really appreciated the workers' attention to detail.  The brick work was done by a true craftsman.  Watching him place each brick and carefully adjust it to make sure the spacing was consistent and it was level with the surrounding concrete was awe inspiring.
I couldn't be happier with the end result. They corrected drainage problems that lead to puddling at our entryway and the results are beautiful.  It is exactly what we requested.
Finally, Dennis is a joy to work with.  He's provided great communication and is highly professional. He's one of the best contractors I've dealt with in 20 years in my home.

New driveway, walkway, side yard.

Because the old concrete in one section was thicker than the other, the removal took longer.  The contractor did not charge us for the extra unforeseen time it took.  He was very professiona and kept us informed.

Dennis was great and very quickly helped us devise a plan for our backyard. He was easy to work with and his guys did the job in no time. I will use Peninsula when we replace our driveway!

Dennis and his crew were terrific. He returned our calls promptly, gave us a bid right away, started when he said he would and finished quickly. Highly recommend him and his team, they were all professional. The driveway is curved, steep, and long - not a simple job. He suggested we install a couple conduits underneath to support future needs which was something we didn't think about. On time and on budget, no surprises. It looks great and adds substantially to our home's curb appeal.

I thought the owner was very responsive. He supervised the job personally. The workers were neat, stayed on schedule, completed on time, and within the budget. I thought they were great.

Overall it went exceptionally well.   We had a bid in a matter of hours after we had met with Dennis Turchet.   His 2-man crew had the yard cleared, and the frame completely installed on the first day.   They boraded up the fence at the end of each day, securing the property for the night.   They poured the concrete on the 2nd day,  brushed it to a medium finish and cut the border in it.  One the 3rd day, a crew member removed the frame and cleaned up.  Dennis's crew was punctual, super hard working, and conscientious.  We highly recommend using Peninsula Concrete Contractors. 

The owner, Dennis, was on time and provided an estimate within a day of request. We obtained three different estimates from different companies and we chose Penisula Concrete based on several factors; reputation on Angies list, looking at another job he had completed in the area, and based on his time in business.   He presented a professional estimate on the spot of the complete construction, what would be done, the timeframes to complete, and the price to complete the job.  He provide material descriptions and gave us several options.  The work commenced on time per the agreement, the workers were courteous and professional, and left the worksite clean each day.  The work was completed on time, within budget, and excellent quality.  We are very happy with the results and the driveway and walkways are beautfful.   We have already recommended Peninsula Concrete to friends based on the excellent service we received.

Dennis and Jose were very responsive.  They worked hard every day and finished the project in two weeks.  Equipment that needed to be on site was always there or was able to be brought in quickly.  The demolition required about 7 dump truck loads of old driveway and dirt so this was not a small project.
Jose is a very meticulous worker and the pavers fit together perfectly.

I called Dennis after finding him here on Angie's List, and he was able to meet very early the next morning. He was conscientious enough to call my cell rather than ring our doorbell as he assumed we might have a small child who was asleep - he assumed correctly.

He was very professional - a clear and articulate communicator, very knowledgeable and experienced in doing such jobs in San Mateo and actually recommended scaling back our job since it would be more cost effective. (We were considering replacing the entire driveway but also may be selling our home, and his recommendation was that our driveway didn't need to be replaced.)

When it came time to plan & doing our job, Dennis was very responsive. After I signed the contract, the next day he pulled the permit with San Mateo and scheduled the job for the day. He also completed the job in less time than he estimated and it looks great!

Met with Dennis at the house, shortly after calling his firm. Dennis is very professional and produced a good quote. The price was right. We added some additional options before starting, and the increase in price was very reasonable. 
Dennis gave us a schedule and stuck to it. When I pointed out some cleanup work that needed to be done after they completed the driveway, Dennis gave me a reasonable time frame for the clean up and stuck to it. We are very pleased with Peninsula Concrete's work and our new driveway.

Dennis arrived exactly at the arranged time for his estimate. He is so knowledgeable and efficient that he took all the measurements and listened to my wishes completing the estimate in less than 15 minutes. I also gave him a list of what I wanted done so we wouldn't leave anything out. He provided me with the estimate later that day by email which was better price than all the others I had obtained. Dennis and his team arrived promptly on the day the work was to begin and every day thereafter. I saw Dennis frequently as he supervised his team and he was patient and helpful in answering my questions. The work was completed in the anticipated time range. Rain slowed things down a little, but that is uncontrollable. I cannot compliment Dennis enough for the quality of work. He and his employees are true craftsmen and they take pride in the excellence of their work. They also left the site clean and neat each day, and when the job was completed. I cannot say enough great things about Peninsula Concrete. After getting various bids from other contractors, Dennis gave me a bid that was about 1/2 to 1/3 of the other bids. He also came with glowing references. Dennis was also very accommodating with our tight schedule and had some of the crew working on the weekend to finish sooner. The crew showed up early every day and worked nonstop. The crew also worked very neatly and debris and tools were cleaned up at the end of every day. I saw Dennis frequently throughout the process, while he supervised the crew and worked with city inspectors. He kept me apprised of any possible problems. He seamlessly coordinated with the dry rot contractor. In the end, the new driveway looked fantastic, was finished earlier than expected and was exactly the price quoted. If the need arises, I will hire Peninsula Concrete again.
