Junior arrived on time and provided a quotation, he tagged the trees to be worked on so the scope of work was clear.
On the 2 days of work he came on time and he, along with his fellows, worked diligently.
They were receptive to my requests for trimming which are not the usual in Houston. The usual is to trim all the small limbs, leaving long limbs. I want to cut the long limbs to leave shorter, stronger (hurricane resistant) limbs. I was present to direct if required all the trimming to my requirements. No problem. They continually asked if I was satisfied with the tree before they moved on to the next. They never complained if I asked them to trim a few more branches here or there. Some times it was a lot of work in an other section of the tree.
The reason I dropped him down in quality was because I had to push them at the end of the day to clean up better. We were cutting all over the 1.5 acres and made a mess every where. I just wanted to be sure I was not working for hours cleaning up after them.
I did not bother to get competitive quotes this time. This is the 3rd of 4th time to use Jr. and before he was always the best price. I will use him again.

I was doing yardwork on Saturday and a young man from Jr. Figueroa's Tree Service approached me to ask if I needed my tree trimmed. I had been meaning to have the large live oak in my front yard trimmed for quite some time so I asked him for an estimate. We agreed to the price and he said he would be back with his crew on Monday afternoon. He didn't come on Monday, but called me in the evening to say his first Monday job ran longer than expected and asked if he could do my tree on Tuesday. We agreed.

The tree hadn't been trimmed in several years and was full of dead branches inside. Many branches hung too low to the ground all the way around the tree. No light got to the ground below, so the grass wouldn't grow there.

They brought a crew and climbed around inside that tree with chainsaws, thinning out an amazing amount of debris. After thinning the tree they fed all the branches into their chipper and cleaned up the area under the tree. It's a huge diffference. The tree looks much better now and the sunlight reaches the ground below it. They did alot of work for the price.

He removed the trees very carefully. Some were next to, or above a fence, and they never touched the fence. They worked diligently and did not play loud music or yell around a lot. Mater of fact they were very quiet. Seem to have done this a lot together as a team. They cleaned up after themselves.
