Joe Ryan's Peninsula Paintings

I own a fourplex with a shared garage and shared laundry room. Joe's team did a great job, suggesting types of paint, and he had color swatches for multiple brands of paint. He was very respectful of the residents, and when the residents asked for modifications we all worked out a change to the contract that was acceptable to everyone. I will definitely hire Joe in the future.

Joe and the crew were on time and very professional.  We had agreed they would work with our contractor for access, if they needed more than one day.  They completed the job in one day, even including a mix-up in paint color.  Benjamin Moore has two different paint colors numbered "585".  One of them, the one we wanted, is "CW-585", a new line "Colonial Williamsburg".  The foreman spotted the wrong color, since we had put color samples of all the paints taped to the wall in each room.  (This is time well spent, by the way. Get the small sample pint and make a card on tag board.  A little time in advance makes you sure the color is the one you wanted).
We will use this company for painting again for any job that comes up.  Their clean-up was just perfect.  When we returned from a weekend away, each room was ready to use.  Price was just as stated in the contract, and we were very happy to get 3 old closets painted, transforming them into clean, usable spaces.
The new paint colors make these rooms light and easy to live in, and we are delighted by the results. We enjoyed working with Joe Ryan and his team.  A real gentleman and craftsman!

Much of the painting that Peninsula Painting did for us was competently done, but I would advise potential customers to read the written estimate extremely carefully, and make sure that it includes everything that actually needs to be done.  The initial estimate was lower than the other painters we consulted, but the final amount (which we unwisely paid before completion, contrary to what the contract said) was substantially higher.  We ended up hiring another painter to complete the work, Yakov Postolov, who did an excellent job.

The owner was very nice & actually came out to see if the job was being done right from time to time. If they couldn't make it out at a certain time, he would call ahead & notify us of that. They were very professional that way. I was very pleased with this finished project. It was a definite upgrade from the previous look of the home. It took only a week to finish the project. They cleaned up after themselves every day & were polite to us when we were around. Even when the boss was not there, they stayed focus on the work that needed to be done.
