They were excellent. They did a great job and got the house ready to sell.

Jose was great to work with! Very knowledgable of local plants and what would work well. We met him at a local nursery to walk through and select plants for the front yard and he and his crew did the rest, including guaranteeing to replace any plants that died off after the landscaping.

Jose and his crew arrived promptly and worked non-stop. They did a great job, did it quickly, and when they were done the yard looked new.

He pruned existing jungle of brushes to create a neat, attractive landscape. Even added a charming stone path.
He really pulled off a miracle at my rental property.

The owner came and bid on the job. They were able to take care of it the next day. Very prompt and agreeable. Once the job was started, I was a little worried that the guy up the tree didn't use a harness for safety. But, he was only about 6 feet off the ground, so I guess it was okay. Very nice guys. I would use them again.

Included 8@15 gallon shrubs planted on a slope, 20@1 gallon perennials to refresh an existing planter area which was trashed as the result of a former construction project, 4 tons of river rock, and created a new sprinkler zone.
Jose was very professional at every opportunity, from scheduling a time to scope the job, drafting the initial quote and eventually the final invoice.
He had a well qualified team working the project who communicated at just the right level to make for a successful project.
No surprises, no breakage, and when everything was completed, his team cleaned up the site and verified everything was in perfect working order before they left. There were a lot of materials used for the project, and I may have been able to get it done a little bit cheaper, but the professionalism and ease of working with Jose and his team, and the fact they got it done right the first time makes me look forward to using his services again.

They arrived on time and worked the job to completion. I would hire them again.

The job was supposed to take 3 days, but took 5. I am very pleased with the new stairs/small deck and new leveled and even brick patio. I love the look.

I am pleased with the work and will use this group again. The crew was very professional with attention to detail. I was originally concerned that the plants could be damaged from such excessive cutting but the crew was careful not to damage the plants. They also worked on a Sunday to accommodate the painters schedule.

They are very wonderful. I really like there service.

Overall our experience of working with JDL is good. During the busy summer months, he and his crew seem to be spread thin. But the crew always arrive on the same day each week at around the same time. Do give clear direction on what you need JDL to do for you.

On time, professional, good communication skills, good price. I am very pleased. I will use JDH in the future for my sprinkler needs.

They came out when they said they would, and did what they said they would do. There was one mis-communication. There was no followup. I would tell someone to make sure they communicate very well with them on exactly what needed to be done. Other than that they did a very good job.

I thought the price for labor was far too high. He has done work for me in the past, which is why I did hire him back. This time, however, I felt taken advantage of by the cost. I asked him fopr copies of the receipts for the shrubs and plants. I never saw the recipt for the shrubs, only approximately $350 for the plants and stakes. There also is very little follow up or guaranty to the work.

We are putting our house on the market and needed a few years of neglect erased. Neither one of us are good with plants so any effort we did put in doesn't count. Jose is a professional. He knows plants and advised us on what to prune and picked some beautiful and appropriate new ones for our garden. We of course waited until the last minute to call him and he accommodated us. He brought a crew of five men in and completed a big job with careful supervision in a couple of days. He is very conscientious about his work and is very polite. He found a rotted pile of wood that was there when we moved in and after checking to see if we wanted it, hauled it all away a no extra charge. He also repaired our watering system without charging us. It was important to him that we met our goals. This was a big job done right and in my mind was done at a bargain price. I would recommend JDH Garden Services to everyone.

The bottom line: Jose Henriquez and his crew from JDH Garden Services provide high quality landscape services at a fair price. They are conscientious and self-directed. My husband and I just purchased a home that has a relatively large (8400 sq ft) yard with mature landscaping, including several fruit trees. The yard had been neglected for several months this past winter. It needed a major cleanup that included trimming trees and large cacti as well as taking care of debris knocked down by storms. A large shrub, with roots that were threatening to damage our living room windows, had to be dug out of the ground and hauled away. We also needed a large, cemented-in metal pipe (formerly the base for an in-ground basketball system) cut off below ground level. Finally, the grounds and lawn around the the removed bush and cut-off pipe had to be repaired. I found Jose & JDH based on positive reviews on both Angie's List and Yelp. Jose got right back to me to discuss our original job. After a positive first conversation, I checked references and we quickly made an appointment for him to see the job; he was courteous and easy to talk with. He followed this up with a detailed written estimate. Communication has worked very well using e-mail, which is particularly convenient for me. Jose has responded promptly to my questions and requests for clarification. Jose's crew completed our first job on time and did a fine job. Based on that experience, we contracted with Jose for regular maintenance of our property and they have back for several visits since. Our front and back yards look consistently great, trimmed, tidy and brimming with healthy plants and flowers. The weeds and fallen leaves are gone. Given the size of the property and the number of trees and bushes we think their price is very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend JDH Landscape Services, either for a 1-time cleanup or for regular maintenance.

Jose was very prompt, both for the estimate and for the work His workers were polite and cleaned up as they went. They also tended to the plants on the deck. I would have them back again.

Jose's crew did an outstanding job - it was evident that they knew exactly how to prune the various plants. Cheerfully did a few extra little things for me while there (chopped out a bunch of large root knobs which were in the lawn and posed a tripping hazard, etc.). LIke I said, this was a BIG job and I was amazed that they were able to complete the job within a few hours. Did an excellent job of clean-up afterward. I am so happy with the quality of their work that I have hired them to do some other landscaping work.

They are excellent. He did an excellent job and I can't recommend him more. He was very prompt and very neat. He really did a good job. He was great and did what he was supposed to do.

I just hired JDH to do a major clean-up on my yard. Jose, the owner, showed up on time for the estimate and his estimate was quite competitive. The day they were scheduled to come it was pouring and Jose called and re-scheduled. On the rescheduled day they showed up on time and did exactly what he and I had talked about. I am very pleased with the results and have hired them to come back every other week.
