EM Roofing

Absolutely great, Eduardo and crew were always punctual and they kept in the budget. Very professional individuals. Great customer care.

Good price (best of 6 bids), responsive to questions, on time (coordinated well with 3rd party solar installation), cleaned up fairly well and came back promptly to finalize a open issues.

Eduardo fixed a leaky roof over an addition to my house. He was very prompt on returning my call, giving the estimate and doing the job. The work was excellent and they left the area cleaner than it was before they came. My highest recommendation!

Overall, I had a great experience with EM Roofing for my father's house. I got several bids and EM Roofing was the lowest. I selected EM because they had great yelp reviews and because Eduardo seemed very pleasant and professional to work with. Eduardo was also great at helping me finalize the roof material selection and start date. I prefer email communication and Eduardo usually responded to my emails within a couple of hours--even on Christmas eve. The roof looks great.
I have also just signed a contract for EM Roofing to replace the roof and gutters for my house in Hillsborough next month.

It all started several years ago when a small house fire left a large area of roof demolished over two rooms. A year after this, we had not repaired the roof yet (planning to do a major remodel instead) and the roof tarp installed by the original clean-up company began to leak. Other roofing companies bid up to $700 to put a new tarp over the damaged area; Eduardo at EM Roofing bid $75 and did it himself, on the spot!

After this, when we did our remodel, I made sure our contractors got a bid from EM. EM's bid was $500 lower than their usual roofer's, so they used EM and said that they did a great job. We've been back in the remodeled house for 3 months and as far as I can see, all is well.

PLUS ... one more nice thing. Our new roof has many skylights in it. Before we even moved in, our contractor told us that a squirrel was chewing on the metal flashing of the skylight but that it and quot;probably wouldn't leak.and quot; I called EM again and Eduardo came out and put some reinforcement on the skylights. For free. I have never had anything but a fast, responsive experience from EM and so I highly recommend them.

Another update in 2013 ... after we moved into our remodeled house, we started hearing a strange thrumming noise in our bedroom on some days; It was really annoying, and no one could figure out what was going on, not us, not our contractor. Finally, since the sound seemed to be near the roof, my husband suggested calling Eduardo. We thought it might be loose shingles or something It took Eduardo about 15 minutes to figure out that a metal cable running the length of the house near the roof was being brushed by a large tree branch at the front of the house, and that under windy conditions the resonance of its vibrations caused the thrumming noise in our bedroom about 50 feet back. Genius! And he didn't even charge us for this extremely helpful troubleshooting.

Eduardo was on the site for most of the time, and his guys were great. They worked quickly and carefully, and the roof looks fantastic!Eduardo was referred to me by my real estate agent, and I couldn't have been happier. They did great work, and were reasonably priced relative to other bids.I would recommend Eduardo 100%.

We were installing a solar power system on our home and the roof was about 20 years old and looking its age so we decided to replace the roof as part of the project. We looked for a roofer who would be willing to work with us on this because we would be installing the solar panel mounts plus 2 bathroom vents and 4 sun tunnels as part of the process. EM Roofing understood completely what we were trying to accomplish and worked with us to make sure the project was a success. In particular, after stripping the old roof and laying out the felt underlayment, they struck chalk lines where the rafters were so that we would know precisely where to put the solar panel mounts. The second day we installed the solar panel mounts and cut out the holes for the bathroom vents and sun tunnels. The third day they installed the new roof and flashed around 32 jacks for the solar panel mounts, 2 bathroom vent jacks and 4 sun tunnels. And of course they cleaned up after themselves. Update: 12/22/2010 - we've experience some major storms and no problems with the roof so far.
