Our worry was that the finished stain would not match the dining room floor. We needn't have worried for Francisco did a magnificent job. Dust is usually a problem as well but everything was sealed off and the dust around the rest of the house was minimal.

(-) Although the overall experience was positive, I found the personal professionalism of the installers a bit lacking. I had to mention several times to pay better attention to my property and to be more careful. Newly painted walls were not respected, and sawdust outside my home was not completely cleaned up at the end of each day. I had to mention on several occasions to not lean against other walls in my home after a long sweaty day of work. This required unnecessary cleaning and paint touch up on my part.
(-) Each day the installers were departing without voluntarily telling me what to expect the next day. I had to ask the each day.

We are very happy with the quality of the work. The work required about 1.5 weeks to complete. On the first day, we discussed with the one of the workers what work would be done that day. Since we did not yet know what color stain we would like, they offered to stain a few samples on the floor after the first sanding. This really helped us to make a stain decision based on how our floor would absorb the stain. We were also unsure of what baseboard style we wanted. Dennis provided several popular samples as well as a printout of other style options for us to chose from. We were also unaware that painting the baseboards was preferable before the baseboards were installed... thankfully Dennis recommended we do this ~ five days before they were needed to be installed. This allowed us to quickly identify a painter and have them painted and dry in time for the painting. DG Flooring even delivered the baseboards to the painter for us and then picked them up and brought them to our house! The baseboard installation was done with care, and small unexpected details around the fireplace and front and back doors were very much appreciated by us. The work was more expensive than other bids we received, however we are very happy with the quality of work.

Great people to work with. Very knowledgeable and informative as to initial damage and options for repair vs replace. Workmanship, craftmanship was excellent on the job. They did a great job keeping the "mess" to a minimum. Overall, considering the extent of what we had to have done (our entire first floor wood floor replaced) it was about as painless as it could have been. Floor came out better than what we originally had in place.

I am so impressed with these guys! My dad built a new house and used them for the hardwood floors, and felt that of all the contractors he had on the project, DG Floors was by far the best. With that recommendation I knew I had to use them for my refinishing project. The 1954 house had original hardwood floors in every room except the Family Room and bathrooms but they had been covered with carpet for at least the last 20 years. We did all the work of removing the carpet (and giving it away on Craigslist) and pulling all of the staples and tack strips. DG floors removed the old linoleum flooring in the Family Room and hauled it away. They used plastic to cover and protect the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom from dust, and then sanded and filled the floors. They let us choose a stain color based on samples they put directly on the wood in the dining room floor. The patching and matching work they did was outstanding. You would never know that the Family Room floor (which is new) and the Living Room floor (which was refinished) were different, even though they touch each other. A very professional job.

The owner, Dennis, and his entire crew were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. When we had a difficult time choosing a stain color for the floors, they came out three times with both standard and custom stains. We ended up choosing a custom stain at no extra cost. They also did two matching sets of stair inside the house and laid my floor so it would be stronger.

VERY GOOD PRESENTATION OF THE WORK TO BE PERFORMED, EXPLAINED VERY WELL WHAT KIND OF FINISH I MAY HAVE EXPECTED FOR THE CHOICE I MADE. THE JOB TOOK FIVE DAYS TO FINISH. THE HOUSE NEEDED TO BE VENTED BETWEEN THE SANDING AND DRYING.
