I'll start with the "good" bacause that will be short. When we first met with Jacquelyn, she was great. Explained a lot about the windows suppliers and our options. She also briefly went over our options for closet, front, and pocket doors - so much, it was really confusing. She gave us links to the manufacturers they deal with. Now the bad. When we were ready to order, they were insistent that our contractor confirm the window/door sizes even after giving them our architectural plans. Since our project was in phases, we decided to place three separate orders - one for the new construction, existing, and doors. We focused on the new since that was the immediate need, however, regardless of how we ordered, it seemed Ben (the person we worked with - not sure why Jacquelyn helping us no longer) kept on forgetting our order. It was obvious that he didn't order anything immediately. Whether it be calls or email, these guys went dark & when we finally connected, all I got was excuses. We usually connected when I took time off work to visit them. Nonetheless, everything was delayed and delayed our home project. When our front door arrived, it arrived with the incorrect lock type. Our pocket doors took 3 months and we didn't get the one we asked for. We settled for a "lesser" one because when I finally got tired of the lack of customer services, Ben told me it's "really got a big lead time, but I can't tell you what that is". The front door type wasn't what we wanted, but by that time it was too late. There was never a time they took accountability. There was never a time they tried to make any wrongs right. Unresponsive, unprofessional, and really not a place where they will work with first time window/door owners. Avoid this place. They is a place in Belmont off Harbor. They are all that and fixed things that Bennett wouldn't or really I no longer wanted to deal with. I really hate writing terrible reviews, but the stress they put me in was worth writing this.

I ordered my French doors at Bennett glass as I had doubt that the major retailers would perform the same service. I went through in details of my specific needs (there are tons of different size, color, etc.) and I think I was well advised and recommended in buying a specific brand of French doors based on where it was going to be installed (north-west facing the elements: wind and rain). I picked the door and it arrived on time as promised (6 weeks). The company also demonstrated their flexibility to exchange it after my contractor realized it was not the right dimension we needed (after exchange fees :-(. Overall, I think the price was OK (probably street price), but the service was very personalized and professional.

The showroom is dark and a little cluttered. This makes it a little challenging to see the items and the quality of the window. The showroom hours are limited to weekdays. From going there multiple times, it is clear that most of their business is contractors. They were quite nice and helpful with us. As these were replacement windows, we talked at length about egress and DIY advice. We found their prices to be highly competitive.

ALTHOUGH THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS EXCELLENT, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND LACK OF RESPONSIVENESS DOES NOT OFFSET THEIR HIGH COST. THE JOB WAS ORIGINALLY QUOTED TO TAKE 5 WORKING DAYS, WHERE IN FACT IT TOOK 2 WEEKS TO HAVE THE JOB COMPLETED.
