Advanced Tree Care

We hired Advanced Tree Care to remove several trees from our yard, including one large sycamore tree which was growing close to the gas line and the foundation of our house. We also had them clear a section of bushes and brush which had become overgrown and was blocking the view from our front window. They did an excellent job - obtained the required permits on our behalf, and finished the project as requested and on budget. The sycamore removal was tricky given the size of the tree and its location, but ATC dealt with the issue carefully and with competence. They also trimmed some additional branches and cut up some firewood for us. Rob and his crew were a pleasure to deal with and I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

.   It was a big tree.  The arborists had agreed and not charge for a permit for a dead tree, a stick on the ground.  Though she agreed to that they charged for the permit.  One major branch broke off between the time she approved and the time we did it, it could have hurt somebody.  We have worked with Advanced Tree Care earlier. I like him.  He was the first one to look at the tree and certified that it was dead. He then gave me a quote for doing it. His was the best price.  I was not in a hurry but he did come when he said he was going to come.  I will use him in the future.

Overall it was a positive experience.  An estimate was completed in a timely manner, and the work was done for the estimated price.  We were somewhat frustrated in getting the men who did the actual pruning to trim the trees as much as we wanted.  They did have to come back to take an additional limb off the ash tree in the front yard.  We would have appreciated contact with the arborist during the two days of work, either by phone or in person; we believe that some of the frustration may have alleviated if he had been available to communicate with the trimmers.    

He was very nice, professional, and did a very good job. He was reasonably price compared to the other estimates that I received. He seemed very knowledgeable and he is arborist. He was very prompt; he called us or emailed us back right away. He gave us very detailed explanations explaining how to care for the trees.

He's great, he has a team of people that work for him. They do good work and he's knowledgeable so I feel comfortable having him work on my trees. I feel comfortable with what he recommends. He doesn't have the cheapest price, but I think it's worth it.
